  1. I'm 6'2 205 out the door. The new smaller suits are great. I have a P2 and don't ever plan on getting rid of it. it works great for every aspect of flying. I have flown both the T bird and P2/3 and they are both good suits. I know people who find that the T-Bird doesn't provide a large enough range so they purchased a R-Bird. The performance of the suit relies on how well you fly your body and the suit. I would recommend trying to find one that fits and doing a few jumps on each. Really what it comes down to how you fly your body and which one feels the best in flight. A WS is a tool and you need the right tool for the job.
  2. Not sure if this was covered but i didn't see it. Ian can you shed any light on why is this wing only for sub terminal jumps? I am NO where close to flying this thing nor do i really think i will ever i'm just curious about it.
  3. Here is the video from Flock the Rockies where we were able to set a 14 way formation which beat a 9 way we set the day before. All the participants were from colorado it was a great event. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md-w_WCjfeA&feature=g-upl
  4. I know of one person that was wearing his personal one but he hasn't looked at any of the info yet (we got home yesterday). Also the organizers placed some on the leading 4 way and i'm not sure if they have released any of the info yet. The entire event was amazing and thanks to all the fliers and organizers. I would also agree i still have dirt in my suit from the may event i don't think i'll ever get it all out of my suit.
  5. haha i saw that too yesterday driving home from summerfest i tried to snap a picture but missed it.

  8. NZ Aerosports makes icarus and daedalus canopies are from New Zealand
  9. It's not really that hard. The land is just very arid so their is a lot of dirt that can get everywhere. Also if your dz could fax over a sheet with your last jump that could work.
  10. Currently their are only 2 dropzones open now that are close to you. The first is Mile Hi in longmont about an hour south they have good gear great planes and pilots and good friendly jumpers they don't have daily gear rental it is $25 per jump. the other would be boulder which is under new management and i don't really know much about it but they are a smaller cesna DZ about 1.15 hours south. If you are around for until april 28th skydive empire in fort morgan is opening that day.

  12. Are you aware of the difference between the leading edges of Phoenix-Fly and Tonysuits? It's probably similar to Phoenix-Fly's other suits (and nothing like Tonysuits) ... Apparently not. What is the difference? What I was trying to compare is in Tony suits their is a foam dowel rod thing in the arm to prevent it from deforming or at least that's how it was explained to me. Is that not right?
  13. I think it is like the foam on the leading edge of tony suits. It is designed to keep the leading edge from deforming so it can maintain optimal shape while flying. I could be wrong though i have not seen it.
  14. thats really not that bad my first rig was about 1 - 1.5 in to small for me. It's more of a comfort thing with it being that slightly off (or as my rigger told me). If you can reach the handles easily and if the rig is FF friendly then you should be fine.
  15. hehehe i think thats funny. he is infringing on her civil liberties!
  16. As someone who is somewhat in the same boat as you i'll tell you my experience. i'm about 200lbs exit weight. I fly a safire 2 149 at a 1.34 WL. This thing does everything for me. recently i have been having better openings with my WS then on my belly with it (i figured you the problem and have since fixed it my openings are much better now). but I have had some nasty line twists but am extremely glad i have the larger canopy. It also gives me the opportunity to learn to swoop with and without my WS since that is where i am. I have taken the slipstream corse and speak to the guys all the time. One thing that they have told me over and over again is you can swoop anything it just depends on how good your fundamentals are (im sure their is more to it but i'm learning). So in my opinion if you like the storm i would play it safe and get the 120 you will still be able to get a powerful swoop out of it and you will be more safe with a more forgiving canopy. In the end you are going to have to sacrifice on heading forgiving openings or swoop power and i personally would give up swoop power for a more on heading forgiving opening any day. thats the 2 cents of a learning jumper so take it as you wish
  17. How high? I think it is about 22k.....we are getting details. It requires only O2 to altitude, not a pony bottle or pressure breathing. i could be very easily convinced to do one of these
