  2. Glad you had fun Max, We are already making plans for next years, Sure is rough having two great events (deadman & Margarita night) so close together! But looks like most of us did a really good job of jumping & partying to our limits @ both!
  3. Dave, This hits home for a lot of us, the wife of a local jumper works for PHI and its hitting her VERY hard! As all of down here are in the EMS/fire/first responder field, it feels like family even when you don't know them personally Sad for all involved
  4. ok, guys & gals, the recovery time has started, and a few pics have surfaced, lets see those links for the rest of them..... ok most of them!!! Congrats to all the winners of the contest, and all the jumps milestones made!!!

  9. Point a knee towards the sky, grab the harness out of your crotch and slide just onto your thigh, repeat other side. Any instructor will be able to show you this, will be a lot more comfortable.
  10. As a Paramedic who frequently see's panic/stress events, this sounds like a "panic" attack or more accurately a "stress attack". It appears that you have some major concerns and this is the result, even if you are not ordanarily prone to panic events, skydiving is not ordinary. The discomforts of the harness (femoral pinch - poor blood circulation)as mentioned above can also attribute to what you felt. Landing concerns are second only to malfucntions for the first time jumper! Perfectly normal fears. I would assume that your jump school is using ground to student communications (radio) so you shouldn't feel completely alone. Only you know what you should do, but follow through with the AFF jump would be my recommendation. Relax best you can, adjust the harness post opening, eat light meals through out your jumping day. Also ask questions learn as much as you can, knowledge is comfort for most. Welcome to the sport!
  11. Looking for Anita, lives in Colorado, organized @ tent 3 at the last several WFFC. Just need to get an email address, looking to jump with her & her husband in September. Thanks, Ray
  12. Woof Woof, you dog, and another ones leaves us......
  13. adenosene/adenocard? gives you transient asystole, the looks on people faces when they see they are flat lined... Also supposed to be a really weird feeling during that time. really expected to see low bp not elevated. keep us posted
  14. If you had one episode, chances are you will have another, as we get older things changes, either with your heart itself or the way your heart is responding to something new(external stimuli). SVT will usually produce a low or very low B/P and the physical results of such. (very poor perfusion). The fact that you had such a long episode would make me think it was a medical change and not a new "stimulant" Most people with a diagnosed SVT condition will feel it coming on, and take appropriate actions(pulling over, laying down, calling 911/MD ect), much like many people with seizures. This warning can help you if this does return, just pay attention to it. Be safe
  15. Happy Birthday Devil Dogs, your flag is flying hi just below glory today. LSB & H&S Bat. 87-90

    eBay

I have sold my motorcycle twice on ebay, the first buyer didn't follow through with deposit or purchase. When I relisted it, I was more specific on deposit requirements as well as purchase /pick up requirements. The second listing for that bike, was awsome, the buyer was so enthusiastic that he almost didn't give me enough time to get home from work& so he could pick up the bike & he had to drive 400 miles. The 1st buyer didn't leave a bad taste(just wasted some time) in fact I will be listing another bike soon. Go for it,
  17. For those of you who went to both this year, which one was better? If you had to drive 2000 miles to either, which one would it be?

    104!

It was a fun day, steady jumping, great flying, with awesome friends.
  19. I apologize if I am wrong, the following listing seems extremely simple with a lack of information. Hopefully an oversight by the "new" seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=310&item=7131253333&rd=1 Edited by slotperfect to make the link clicky
  20. Ok, fellow Texans, never mind Houston and Dallas, yall have snow from time to time! It's actually snowing here in Corpus Christi, with accumalation. Been snowing for about 3 hrs now. Merry Christmas all, Be safe
  21. As of last Sunday SSM is jumping on the 31st. Everybody be safe, & Happy Holidays
  22. Just a question for the lawyers out there, in Texas a parent signs for a 16 year old to get their drivers license. It's a conditional license and can be taken away utill they turn 18. This would seem a comparable event to signing a waiver for anything including skydiving. or is it?
