  1. ............................................................................ Agreed! ... and is the latest method recommended by Vector. UPT (aka the Vector factory) changed their packing method to reduce the risk of curved pins puncturing kill-line bridles ... and causing malfunctions. . A bit off topic from the sidewinder but for UPT this routing is considered an alternate approved method of routing the bridle. It is not recommended or preferred over the other routing. Just an alternative which jumpers need to evAluate and choose for themselves "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. Not a lawyer but: A standard of Judicial Review for a challenged policy in which the court presumes the policy to be invalid unless the government can demonstrate a compelling interest to justify the policy. 6. Great performer, good music. Died in Zurich while on tour. Here is his version of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anud7Su_yYs If you've got a little time this is a 1970 concert at the Royal Albert Hall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUGgXvhLKE4 He has an album scheduled to be released in September. 7. Seen this too. Most awkwardly I was on a first date and we were playing frisbee golf and surprised a couple who were getting friendly in the bushes off the side of the course. Most gross--I was out on a run and passed a SUV pulled over on the side of the road. One door was open and the guy was standing outside and the woman was laid down on the front seat. Nothing against a car experienced but next to a busy road in broad daylight? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  8. We aren't stuck. We choose to play that role. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

  13. I'm pretty sure that was what one of the Justices was talking about when he made his decision on "Closely Held Companies". A lot of times, especially in "mom and pop" or non-publicly traded companies, there is no difference in "Company money" and "Personal Money". When you have to reach into your personal pocket to pay the cost to keep your company going, at that point, are you no longer a person? Once you have incorporated, and sought the protections that the legal systems allow for the fictitious "person" then there is definitely a difference. I believe the supreme court is on the wrong track and stretching to hold that corporations have rights the same way individual citizens do--first in Citizens United and now in this case. I was happy about the effects of one of those cases but not the other one but the legal reasoning was pretty bad in both of them. I do not see how the Supremes can continue down this path. I'll put you down for "Once a person starts a company, he loses his basic human rights" Great. So glad Speaker's corner is such a great place for in-depth discussion of complex issues. You can put me down for whatever you want. A corporation is very different from an individual person. By starting a business there are quite a number of rules and regulations you have to obey that individuals do not. When you start a corporation you also get different tax rules, protections during bankrupty, and other differences in status. So you want those benefits without any corresponding responsibilities it seems? Business are not individuals. While businesses may and do have certain rights they are certainly not synonymous with the rights that individuals have. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

  15. Right. When I brought up cost you said it was free to check the registry. But this takes somebody's time to check the registry. And then if it is a system issue it then takes time for record keeping to ensure and document that you are in compliance. And then it takes time for that examiners record keeping to be forwarded to the regulating body, and them for somebody there to enter it and ensure everybody is in compliance. I'm not saying that is not all worthwhile, but it is not worth while until you could put some context around the scope of the problem besides saying you know of several. 16. I wish people would quit using this example. Viagara and other ED drugs are often covered but not all insurance companies cover them and coverage is not mandatory under the ACA. It is really a poor argument. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. Andy's ears just perked up... "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. We are slipping down that slope rapidly. I do not see in the opinions (though I've only read summaries and not the complete ones) that there is any sort of logical demarcation. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. Wonder if you must Presumably some Jehovah's witness affiliated organizations would object to paying for blood transfusions. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  20. While you are correct that it was Mitch McConnell's quote, the supreme courts vote was unanimous. Since this hardly ever happens (everything seems to be 5-4 vote), one could say that the vote alone speaks volumes. No, there are frequently unanimous supreme court decisions. About 40% in fact. 21. Thank You. This is great paying it forward! Good karma and first beer on me if we ever meet. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  22. How would that help? A rushing slider would not free that brake handle secured with velcro. I've never heard about anybody having a premature brake fire on the jumpshack risers (secured w/ a snap). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  23. I'm not picking sides here, but if HQ made public statements about everything each member would like a statement about they would do nothing but make public statements all day every day. I'm not even sure if the organization is required or authorized to discuss procedural matters with the general membership. Anyone know the scoop on that? I'm not an insider in any stretch of the imagination. I am sure they are not required to make any sort of public statement. I do remember whole bunch of the current board members promising more transparency and accountability to the membership when they were running for the board in the last election... 24. Well, that's good. You should ask the DZOs currently employing those sex offenders to no longer employ them as TIs. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  25. Well when I asked how many were TIs (just a few responses ago) you said So, there is no quantity. Except I guess you know of one. I would start there--eliminate the known problem. You are asking for an investment of time for a problem you can't quantify. I'm not unsympathetic to what you are trying to do. It just appears to me that you are long on good intentions and short on facts. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
