  1. I meant to the (I presume) fellow skydiver that would be attaching the thing to his head... Not to worry, caveat emptor Apologies for the derail, back to topic, I wanna know what jimmy did.
  2. Just curious, did you pass on that knowledge?
  3. Quoteam i the only one noticing the "chirstmas" instead of "christmas"!?Quote yes you are...beaucse the huamn brian olny nedes the frsit and lsat leettrs of any wrod to be in the crorcet odrer to sccusefsluly inetrpert the msesgae. mrery chisrtams ervyebdoy llloyd. (lylod).xxx
  4. ...and from the UK i offer you... Blue Juice http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1505427737/ A brit flick comedy based around surfing, not so much a coming of age movie, more a refusing to grow up movie (kinda like most skydivers) Not sure if the comedy will transpose the atlantic but I reckon it's worth a download if you can find it. it's got a young Obi Wan Kenobi in it, and Catherine Zeta Douglas
  5. i vote small...anything more than a handful's a waste anyway
  6. does that include the museum* bonus bit?? * in case anyone missed it - finish campaign, go to 'choose level' and the 'museum' bonus should have appeared. load, play with all the different weapons for a bit, get bored, then find the 'information' desk and do NOT press square (ps3 version anyway)
  7. Why not the team games? You'll get way more xp playing Domination, giving you bigger and better guns/perks. Plus only half the guys are trying to kill you ...although i'm still shit
  8. "Psssshhhh" Nope...that's about 1/2 an hour later
  9. can't beat the bloody bobcat...but in my defence i've had a couple of beers. and purely in the interest of research, i'll have some more beer and have another go later...
  10. dogs = you poop scoop... cats = nicely hidden packages in the neighbours garden... there really is no contest
  11. I'm just curious, and maybe this is one of the annoying questions some of you have experienced, but is it really that bad in freefall? "...have SWAT flashbang your bedroom at three AM and demand you solve maths equations..." was a pretty good analogy of my level 1 AFF. Overload had gone by level 3 though
  12. Absolutely. Absofuckinglutely... Only been doing this 5 minutes and been asked this beaut a bunch of times already...i've got a vid on my phone of our Porter still near vertical coming in to land, so show them this and say "because I don't wanna come down in this..." * and the "shoot back up.." is a v close second. *actually I really REALLY do, but I'm sure you get my drift

    The Hangover

Kinda ironic that your slating a movie and the link you choose gives it 8.1/10 Very, very funny movie in my (worthless) opinion and pretty much all my (male) mates agree. Nearly wet myself at the little chinese guys "toodaloo muthafukkaaaaaaa...."
  14. Hi Nataly, sorry for dragging this thread back up. I'm pretty new to this skydiving lark and just finding my feet around dropzone (and found something I know about!!). Anyways, congrats on bike test and I just thought I’d offer a different point of view on the subject. I ride something called supermoto, essentially an off-road bike but with road wheels on. Definitely the most fun I’ve had on two wheels (and quite often one). I'd suggest you have a looksee at Suzuki's DR-Z400SM. The hardcore supermoto guys look down on these as a bit soft and truth be told they are, but they do make a perfect novice/commuter/funday-sunday bike. They go well, stop well, handle well, even crash well (as in cheap). Motorways and dual-carriageways are a bit of a no-no, but as an about town or country road bike, I really don’t think they can be beat. Plus you can go off-road with them as well, lemme see you do that with a Ninja :D Here’s an old French advert for them… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0KTijlNeNA There's some good online communities for supermoto as well, (with a similar vibe to this place from what I’ve seen so far) who arrange track-days, meets, ride-outs and stuff. All good fun and banter. Gotta agree with the bloke above though, get good gear and always use it. I’ll admit I don’t, but I’m well aware of the risks and skydiving seems pretty safe in comparison. Besides, scars on guys are cool ;) Hope that helps. If you want to know anything supermoto just ask, I’ll trade you for skydiving tips…

  16. best thing about the backflip is you're not actually trying to do a perfect backflip. the point is to get unstable so the worse you do, the better IFKWIM... just lift your legs as the instructor will tell you, and over you'll go. then ARCH... then put it on youtube...
