  1. here we seem to forget there are other ways besides AAF. I have 87 army SL. and 4 IAD's and i feel i am a skydiver ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  2. I'm a new jumper looking to buy a helemt but I am unsure as to what size I should be looking for. My shopping is done primarly online. I wear a size 7 1/4 hat if that helps ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  3. I did my first 87 jumps as an army paratrooper (800-1200AGL SL jumps with rounds). In all thoes jumps i never had a moments thought about the door being open or afraid of going out of it ( as if you have a choice about it in the army). After 4 or 5 hours as cargo on a C-141 all I could think about was "Get me off this plane". I have just started sport jumping with 2 IAD jumps under my belt. The ride up in the little Cesna 182 my home DZ has scares the hell out of me. Both jumps I have been 1st out so I get to sit right next to the door. Once the door opens I look out once, question my sanity, and wait for cue to go. Once that time comes I have no problem going even though I am scared out of my wits...I think the fear is why i do this ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  4. I say go for it if you liked the experience just learn from what you did wrong on the first jump and try not to make the same mistakes. I made my 2nd jump today...and it was great ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  5. I am a newcomer to the sport. just 1 IAD jump under my belt. Looking forward to getting my 2nd. I feel lost when I see posts about rushing to 200 jumps and feeling boared. I don't get it. I jumped once and it was the single most amazing moment of my life. Having said that I a 82nd vet with 80+ SL jumps. Each jump (at least to me) is a drug i cant resist. My goal is to fly a wingsuit...maybe to hop N pop from 10k...I love canopy flight...the journy to the goal is it's own reward ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  6. I'm an 82nd vet if they turn GK tryouts into a reality show i'll turn in my wings ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD

Altitudes ranging from 800-1200 AGL from air force transports (C-130, C-141, C-17). ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
  9. I am a seasoned army paratrooper that is new to the sport skydiving world. I made my 1st IAD jump a few days ago. I am looking for any REAL advice on a student level about how to progress. My instructor was inpressed with my body possition and canopy controll for my 1st jump. I plan to get my 2nd jump in the next week or so...any advice would be greatly welcome ...always remember when jumping a round...at 100' slip into the wind...keep your feet and knees together...pray to god...and hit all 3 points of contact...FEET, A**, HEAD
