  1. There is no or very small vertical accelaration in freefall (assuming speed is already at terminal), so your vestibular system doesn't feel anything. But you do feel accelaration if you turn 360 degrees. At least if you do it fast enough. Same as being in the car and going through the corner. If you pass the corner slowly, you notice nothing. If you'd pass that corner fast enough (even if speed remains the same all the time), you get pushed in the outer direction and you definately feel it.
  2. First, I'm not an instructor so please be sceptical about anything I'll say here. You are saying you want to be 100% prepared. I can suggest you'd rather keep your mind open and don't read too much on the internet before starting AFF. I.e., it might help you if your learning starts at class, not before. The reason is quite simple: there will be things you'll think you understood when reading, but you might understand them in totaly different way. It's always better to ask instructor face to face. Later you'll find that their answers sometimes can differ from dz.com :)
  3. Well, you are talking about vertical movement. Most of the thread is about horizontal movement, where gravity has no influence, but horizontal wind has.
  4. You, sir, are good in trolling on Internet forums. Almost as good as S..., Sa..., San... Well, as One Who Must Not Be Named. Have strong opinions on everything, starting from cases against Cypress and finishing with GoPro on lowbies helemt. I salute you!
  5. I thought it's common US problem to have deaths and injuries under open canopies. But let us blame eastern europe instead, it sounds exotic. By the way, where is it, somewhere in the middle east, right?
  6. Which freedoms? To jump Katana at 200 jumps? One can find a number of such examples in dz.com. People talk to such jumpers, sometimes call them stupid, yell at them they will die, but nothing changes. Somehow noone complains when law prohibits 10-year old from driving a car. How is canopy piloting different? Sure, many people use conservative judgement and wait until they get more experienced. You don't need any laws for them. However, there are still many of those who don't.
  7. What kind of air problems are you talking about? Anything specific or just the risk because system is more complex? I know that usual RSL sometimes is undesirable (e.g., fast spinning malfunctions), but as it was already mentioned skyhook is not exactly the same as RSL.
  8. You, sir, remind me of Sangi. Same manner of talking in dz.com. Ironic, somehow you both have same home dz...
  9. Am I the only one here who thinks 'exit order issue' in that pink canopy incident? Student gets to pond faster than swooper...
