  1. I was scheduled for this tunnel camp but a recent shoulder injury has knocked me out of it. Please contact me or Tom Jenkins to participate!!! I need a replacement for my spot. [email protected] Details: Tunnel Time/Paraclete Tunnel Camp November 5th-7th, 2010. Raeford, NC. The Plan Take a group of skydivers, of any experience level, who want to improve their personal flying skills along with 3 or more experienced tunnel coaches to the Paraclete 16.5’ wind tunnel in Raeford, North Carolina. For a 3 day, 12+ hour tunnel Camp. (Note; we often include and coach non jumpers as well.) The Camp Our camps follow a training syllabus that we have used very successfully for 8 years. And we will have a preplanned tunnel schedule to maximize our tunnel time and learning experience. These camps are designed to teach and to reinforce basic body flight skills. We work on the movement involved in the 3 axis of flight and the process to accomplish this movement. We stress working on communication, grip discipline, fall rate skills and synchronicity of these movements. We work on the skills required for small formation skydiving as well as many of the techniques required for large formation skydiving as well. Experienced tunnel and 4 way flyers will be able to train many of the 4 way blocks and randoms in a 2 on 2 format with the coaches. The Coaches Tom Jenkins, Scott Latinis, Jorge Alvarez. (And others if needed) The Cost $1,800.00 ($1,650.00 if you have attended one of our camps in the past.) This price includes the following: Approximately 2+ hours of coached tunnel time. All Coaches fees. Computer Debrief Stations with downloadable video of all sessions. 3 night’s hotel accommodations (double occupancy.) Group ground transportation Extra time is available at an added cost. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  2. A little more than a year ago I achieved my A license from this DZ, I am still pushing on my training as I can (between work , family, ect). The upjumpers there who I jump with are extremely friendly and very helpful on everything I try to accomplish. There are upjumpers of many different discipline, so you always have someone to jump with! The owner & staff are some of the best there is out there. I sometimes have a couple of weeks(or 3) between visits and it is always a warm welcome when I get to return, Everyone always asks how my wife and son is doing... Makes you feel like you walk into old friends/family. The aircraft is top notch and a joy to take a ride to altitude in. The landing area is HUGE. You never have to worry about everyone trying to fit into a small area, There is plenty to go around for everyone. As a plus, alot of the surrounding areas are large fields/pastures. The DZ staff always have some "fun" event going on... I've been on a Balloon jump, Heli Jump, High Altitude, and witnessed the lake jumps... Come and check it out for yourself. If I'm there, I'm always up for jumping with someone new on RW or FF!
  3. Thanks to everyone who answered this and thanks so much Mike for all that info. I will definitely be out ot enjoy the DZ very soon. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  4. Hey guys, I am planning a visit to WTS and was hoping someone could give me some insight to this DZ. Do they fly the super king air every weekend? I tried to lookup the schedule on their page and can't tell(all red days say same thing on calendar?). I had someone at another DZ tell me that they usually don't jump the king air? Just wanting to get it straight? Are there alot of up jumpers there? Does the DZ support the upjumpers? Just looking for another friendly DZ to visit and get some experience! Thanks!!! ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  5. Thanks guys. I've been to Oahu a few times (before I started skydiving), The last time on Oahu, We took a day trip to Maui and loved it. So a few years later , we are going to just Maui and staying there for a week. I have been over to Hana,,,,I'm so glad I was riding a small tour bus with someone else driving, That was crazy. The 7 pools were awesome, I plan on hitting that again while we are there. Although I was a little timid jumping off the slick rock, but was well worth it! I just had it in my mind how much fun it would be to do a skydive there (the view)....Ah well, Maybe I will just do a helicopter tour or something similar. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  6. Hey guys, I am vacationing to Maui sometime in the middle of september and am hoping to get a jump or 2 in while I am there. I'm hoping to meet up with someone local here who can give me a heads up on the area there? I'm probably not taking my own gear (fyi). ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  7. I have a sport pilot license and an ultralight. I went skydiving a few years back, loved the canopy ride and then went into flying ultralights. Now I would much rather jump on someone elses plane and go skydiving... Let me clarify what I fly. I fly an ultralight trike (hang glider wing with a pod under it- 3 wheels, Motor on rear). I LOVE this thing. You can glide a LONG way without any power which to me seems MUCH safer than most other aircraft. Cost is cheap to buy one depending on what you want. I store mine at a local hanger (live 2 miles from airport) and that seems to work pretty well. I personally don't like fixed wing ultralights but thats just me. Go find an instructor and take some lessons in whichever aircraft you think you want, That will tell you quickly if its something that you want to continue in. Hope this helps you. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  8. I didn't make it myself. I was caught up in an airport with Delta telling me "good luck" getting there. Hopefully I will make the next one with no issues!!!!!!! ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  9. Am only looking to do some Belly stuff and NO freeflying...NOT sure what I was thinking when I put that in there. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  10. Thanks and will do... i must of had freeflying on the brain when I type that first message (going to edit it now). NO idea why I put that in there. Thanks, George ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  11. I'm the guy with 45 jumps, and am just wanting to improve belly flying skills, I'm not interested in freefly right now. I was just hoping to hookup with some others and find someone who wouldn't mind sharing time while I'm there. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  12. On another note, I am also going at it alone and was just hoping to meet up with some experienced people and learn some from them.. ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
  13. Well. I have signed up to go and get some of this tunnel time. I am newer to the skydiving scene and only have about 45 jumps currently. I am hoping to improve in several areas on freeflying,,, After reading this, I really hope this trip pays off,.. Its probably a one time shot for me for a while. I'm flying into the area for the night and back out the next day....... ug... ***Due to recent cutbacks, The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off***
