Julay, I'm in the exact same predicament! I haven't jumped in about four months and I really want to get back into the sport. I'm a little nervous about getting back up there but I know I have to do a recurrency jump and it worries me. It's best to look at the situation as "You haven't jumped in a while, there is a lot that you've probably forgotten." You choose to "wait" until you're under 250? I think that if your dedicated enough to the sport why not work out a little bit so you can get back in the air? guineapiggie, I am in the exact same boat as you. I haven't jumped in about 4 months and I have not received my A-license. I made a post about this about 2 weeks ago and the advice that I was given is that you'll need to do about 45min to an hour of a refresher course, as well as your 7th AFF jump again. This should help you dust off the cobwebs and ensure that you remember all of your safety procedures. It never hurts to go over things and ensure you are knowledgeable 100%. If your skills have faded, don't you want to refresh them? "Do you think it could be worse?" Worse would be finding yourself on a skydive without the skill necessary to survive. Hello. I have completed all of my AFF training (23 jumps as of now) but I have not finished my A-license. I have not jumped in four months and I am assuming that I will have to re-do my level 7 to show my current skill. Do you think it could be worse? Will I have to do more jumps than that to be back at solo jumping? Any advice is greatly appreciated! "Trash pack" haha, that's a new one I haven't heard yet. I've honestly witnessed this though, the last time I went jumping. I was able to get on the sunset load (which was the best jump i've ever had considering we jumped from 14,500) and I saw quite a few individuals packing their rigs as fast as possible.
