  1. I think men close to your age who may have been through a divorce and have children themselves are more open to it. They've been through it and understand as they are in the same boat.

I had three children when I met my now husband. Yes, he married me even though I had kids. :o Upon reading this thread I asked him why he would want to marry me when there are so many women without children. He told me because he fell in love with me and not all of those other women.

You don't have to wait until your children are grown to find love again. There are some good ones out there and they won't see your children as baggage but as added enrichment to their lives.

  2. Gawking is disrespectful in my opinion. My ex could be a gawker at times and it always bothered me. I don't think that made me insecure. If I told him it bothered me he would tell me it was no big deal. He really didn't care about my feelings at all. Whether it is right or wrong doesn't matter but what matters is the individuals involved and what's acceptable between them. Boundaries are different for everyone. What might be okay for one person isn't necessarily okay with someone else.

I remarried a wonderful man and I have never noticed him looking at another woman. I asked him once jokingly if he ever checked out other girls. "Why would I want to when I have you, " he says. It may sound corny and maybe he's just saying it but he makes me feel like the only woman in the world. It works for me.:)

Now that just seems too simple. I'm Martha Stewart here, I need complicated stuff!!!!!! That way I can talk about how beautiful the texture is...

That is how Martha would make it.:P Everyone is right and it is simple.

Somehow that doesn't seem any more bizarre than using what comes out of a cow's or a goat's boobs

True in the logical sense, however, I wouldn't bake with my breastmilk and give the goodies to friends. I just don't think they would be appreciative. Now not telling them breastmilk is in it is another story. I don't have time personally to pump out extra milk for baking purposes anyway.:P

  5. If these things are going on with the daycare is there any way to file a complaint or talk to the other parents about their experiences? Children being locked in highchairs is something that should be reported in my opinion.

Also, trust your children when they say the kids are getting hit. If you file a complaint then maybe having a state worker investigate would be enough to straighten things out. That's a tough situation to be in. I know it's easy for me to say not knowing the situation in full but maybe moving close to family could help?

Call me naive but I really don't see Ellen as the lying to get her way type.

    Following the Rules
DeGeneres went on to suggest that Mutts & Moms enforces its rules arbitrarily. One such rule, she said, is that it does not allow families with children under 14 to adopt – a rule she said the agency has not always followed in the past.

Also, she said, she was never asked to fill out an adoption application and never had a home evaluation – also supposed rules.

DeGeneres said she had little recourse at the time the dog was taken back because the agency was still listed as the owner on the dog's microchip.

Asked what she would like to happen next, DeGeneres said, "I want Iggy's health and safety, number one. I would like Iggy to come back to that family, because I gave Iggy to that family, and that family has now had their hearts broken, and I feel responsible."

Then she added: "But the bigger picture is, everyone [needs to be] aware of your rights, and that you have to make sure that the microchip has your name on it, someone can come at any time and take your dog away."

Teach them to float as infants, swim ASAP thereafter.
Red Cross or YMCA offer amazing programs for lil ones.

Already done. See my link in previous post. I live in Orlando as well and between the lakes and the pools someone is bound to get wet.

  8. There were three boys that died here in Orlando this summer from contracting it while swimming/wakeboarding in the lakes. And Normiss is right about one of the family's suing. He was at a waterski/wakeboard complex where they believe he got it and they feel they should have tested for the bacteria. The owners said they did test for it and the boy must have got it from another lake. The whole thing is sad.

"Out of shape" as in unhealthy--maybe. But, aesthetically???:S:S:S Lord, the woman has had two babies recently. What's more freaky is the women who show up six weeks after labor walking down the Victoria's Secret runway.:S

No kidding. People are calling her chunky which I find ridiculous. She looks better than a lot of other 25 yr olds who haven't had kids.

  10. Sometimes peformers have to lip sync when really dancing but she didn't even lip sync well nor did she dance well.:| Her peeps are saying her heart wasn't in it because she heard Sarah Silverman rehearsing and was pissed off about what she said about her kids. I don't buy it.
