Adventure Skydiving Tennessee is NOT Skydive East Tennessee. Maybe some jumpers from AST are taking the coach course at SET which is a USPA group member dz. The coach course at Skydive East Tennessee is being conducted by Tom Deacon of Pro Skydiving Services not Amy Gravlee. I will definitely be there all weekend with the rv. There are also two air conditioned packing areas, a large covered outdoor packing area, and a swoop pond. All having the potential to keep you cool in the July heat!

I have made five trips down to The Farm and have eleven jumps there. We drive three hours down there from Tennessee because the place is awesome. They have two huge flat landing areas. The high performance landing area contains two swoop ponds and the student area is wide and long. There are several places to camp and watch people swoop the pond. They have loads going all day until sunset, so it's usually easy to catch a load on the Otter all the way to 14,000' AGL. Hans and his staff are very friendly and welcoming which had much to do with my return trips there. The staff is also very knowledgable, experienced and willing to teach and grow their sport. I started off with a tandem, then completed my AFF there and now I'm jumping solo while working towards my A license with the help of Ashley, Jesse, and Andy. If you decide to jump at Farm you won't be disappointed!

This dz is definitely worth checking out. I stopped by Saturday to check out the facilities and staff and was impressed with both. The facilities are brand new, clean, and air conditioned. That's nice on a hot July day in East TN! They have also created some very nice creek side camping spots in the shade along with some fire pits for the obligatory camp fire. All of the staff and other jumpers were very friendly, welcoming and more than happy to answer any questions I had. Nash had me suited up with practically brand new rental gear and on a load within thirty minutes of arriving! I made one jump Saturday and will be going back this Saturday to make at least one more! This is a good dropzone that will only get better with time and the support of local jumpers and will be the place to Skydive East Tennessee!
