Don't worry, the screws don't set off the metal detectors, at least mine don't. Much more comfortable after the surgery, huh?
-
no, I'm not trying to be a smartass. I'd be interested in seeing his helmet too. After your near incident I bought an FT with a cutaway.
-
meby I'm mistaken, but wasn't the lesson "when you throw, throw!"?
-
On a practicle note, how are your landings? Dark colors withstand bad landings better and re-sell more easily.

I prefer top mount having had some nasty riser slaps

I think he's just talking about doing POV video with his friend

Actually, I'm going to go against the convention here (flame away). As mentioned in the previous post, there is a chance of entanglement, however at ~90 jumps you can probably pull stable and I'm guessing that you're not flying a ring site so that probably helps a little, and after all camera flyers don't chop helmets or go in from that very often. So as long as you know that the risk exists, well, after all, I'll be fine The distraction potential is much more of a risk IMHO, just try not to kill your friend and stay altitude aware. Since your flying probably sucks at ~90 jumps you probably want a .03 lens so you get your friend on video at least occasionally during the jump. YMMV can I be on your ash dive?

Does USPA market TS's after their FJ?
jsaxton replied to airdvr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Actually I wasn't thinking about a one year subscription to Parachutist, but rather a one time "Introductory Edition" that would explain: 1) The different training options available 2) An introduction to how the gear works 3) A page or two on each skydiving discipline 4) What the USPA is and how it works 5) The social aspects of skydiving (boogies,...) I imagine that the we could also get advertisements from at least some dropzones. Meby the advertising could be used to offset the cost of production. What I am thinking of is something a tandem will get in the mail shortly after their jump and make the sport seem accessible Meby we should have pictures of boobies in it too ;). -
Does USPA market TS's after their FJ?
jsaxton replied to airdvr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Here's an idea, Create a "First Jump" membership that includes a special one time "Introductory Edition" of Parachutist for ~ $10 ( $10 credits towards "regular membership if they take a FJC) and try to get DZOs to make it part of the tandem package. -
QuoteJI notice everything, both about myself and other people, especially when it comes to canopy control. I tend to be very observant,

You're not POPS are you? Are you going for the Florida record? BTW: I met you @ Tony's camp at Eloy this year.

Oh my god! If you feel like this you should quit the sport. After all noone else has had these concerns

I don't see a state record for Georgia listed on the USPA site. You know what the current record is?
