  1. One of the most knowledgeable canopy pilots in the world, Brian Germain comes to Cross Keys! His explores his main theme "Skill is safety" with an information packed two day workshop. If we can jump at the end of each day, that's a bonus!

    If you spend any time on the East Coast, Freefall Adventures is open daily and we have plenty of staff to jump with you. We typically run a king Air weekdays.
    We run a good, solid training program which is in line with all the USPA recommendations. With good weather typically people move through all their student achievements in about 2 weeks - some even less time. If you want to give us a call we can go over the curriculum with you and see if it is what you are looking for: 856-629-7553.
    We are located about 20 minutes from Philly and about 40 minutes from Atlantic City. It is a very urban DZ with lots to do when you are not jumping, and a really friendly crew.

    Instructors are donating their time on 2 dates for you to have a free refresher course:
    January 30th: Range is teaching starting at 9am sharp
    February 6th: CBass is teaching at 10am sharp

    During the 2 weeks from Jan 30 - Feb 13 you can get plenty of one-on-one time from the instructors with questions about any aspect of skydiving! This is a perfect time to get your studies current, come visit, and even makes some jumps at a discount!

    No experience necessary - Learn Canopy Formation Skydiving! $35 Registration fee to hold your spot.

    Here are the requirements:
    Good hook knife or two (metal body preferred, single blade preferred).
    Chest mount altimeter (if possible, or we can adapt their wrist mount altimeter)
    Jeans or sweatpants
    Long sleave shirt or sweatshirt
    Low snag sneakers (that they can kick off and don't mind losing, extra pair might be a good idea)
    Heavy cotton socks
    Good leather gloves with good tack/grip.
    Helmets recommended: must not cover ears or mouth, must have quick release buckle.
    Container: sized to fit appropriately sized Lightning (pack volume to account for dacron lines), good reserve pin protection, no poptop, or if it does have an exposed reserve pilot chute cap, it should be seated well so as to present a minimal snag hazard. AAD is fine and recommended, any RSL must be disconnected and tucked away).
    Throw out pilot chute deployment, unless they have a pullout pilotchute that can be adapted to the retract bridle on the lightning.

    This weekend is not to be missed at Skydive Cross Keys! We have World Champion Amy Chmelecki from Arizona Arsenal organizing freefly and VRW. CK Freefly will also be organizing all skill levels, with Jason Wright, and DanO.
    Saturday and Sunday mornings, weather providing, we will offer high altitude loads in the King Air - 22,000!

  11. If you want to come out to Skydive Cross Keys, we have a ton of events planned. You can get to 30th St Station in Philly on a new speedline in an hour. From there you just hop on NJTransit and it drops you off a couple of blocks from the DZ.
    Once you get to know people here you will find lots who drive here from NYC every weekend. Some rent a car each weekend and carpool - it takes about an hour and 50 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel down the Turnpike.

    Skydive Cross Keys is, indeed, having a $17.76 Boogie with freefly organizing, RW challenge organizing (Roger Ponce), and we do have quite a few regular wingsuiters jumping here every weekend.

    We are currently flying a Super Otter with new engines and a King Air with mods - both very fast jump planes.
    High Altitude jumps Saturday and Sunday morning, in the King Air. Briefing at 8am both days.

  13. The return of Tuesday Morning Swoop Club starts with a special Thursday Swoop Club this week on May 20! Starting 6am, make either 5 or 10 hop 'n pops at a special package price. You do not need to be a swooper - just practice your canopy control and landings! A License minimum - please purchase tickets in advance at 856-629-7553, or bring cash on the day of. Please have a current waiver at manifest

  14. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Freezefest dates have changed to February 13-14. The storm this weekend is begin described as "record-breaking" and "paralyzing". Nobody should risk getting here for a party, so we are delaying Freezefest for one week. We are also delaying our Haiti Airlift, so you can bring donations next weekend!

  15. FREEZEFEST UPDATE: We are collecting for our relief mission to Haiti. Right after Freezefest, the Otter will be flying to Haiti to help transport supplies into a small grass strip. If you wish to help, please bring along a tent or tarp to donate. You can also send money to bahamashabitat.org. That organization is supplying the logistics, and trying to help with fuel. Hope you can help!

    Tickets are non-refundable but may be upgraded later.
    The PD Team will be here to conduct their famous Canopy Course. They are also available for coaching in other disciplines, and may be hired for a full day. Please contact manifest for details.
