  1. I hate that everyone has lost money!!! That really sucks. I used Karnage Krew when I bought my rig. The deal started out good, but it started going downhill about the time my container was to be finished. After too many excuses from Gary, I called UPT and inquired about the status of my container. I had been told by Gary, it was UPT's fault my rig was not completed. When I talked to UPT, I found out my container was sitting there finished and had been for about four weeks. I am pretty sure that UPT contacted Gary and chewed his ass because I got a scathing email from Gary shortly thereafter. I told him to kiss my ass and learn the meaning of customer service. It was amazing how my rig showed up at my house four days after contacting UPT.

Anyway, I hope this guy gets his due when everyone finds him!!!

  2. Here are some action photos of my "loaner" rig!! Other than some custom logo's on my container, this is identical (color wise) to the one I ordered.

  3. Here is my update on KK and my new rig.

As posted previously, I had all the components except for my reserve. There was a delay in getting my reserve due to the holidays. Since I was flying to Sanford, Florida on 1-21-10, we decided I would go to UPT in Deland and have my rig assembled. Gary got everything arranged with UPT and PD so everything would be in place when I got there.

When I arrived at UPT, I was told I needed to see Pablo at the rigging loft. I go and meet Pablo, he makes a phone call, and the reserve is on the way over. He informs me that do not assemble rigs until after 5 pm. Not a problem though, I went to take a tour of UPT.

Mark Klingelhoefer gives my wife and me an awesome tour of the factory. He takes the time to explain in great detail why UPT does the things they do. It was truly amazing to see the factory. Not to mention that Mark is truly passionate about the sport.

At 5 I went back to the rigging loft. Pablo assembles my rig. He talks to me the entire time!! He explains everything he does. He constantly gives me little (but very important) tidbits of advice. It was awesome. And like Mark, Pablo is very passionate about the sport.

I finally get to jump my new “loaner” rig on Saturday. I went to Zhills and had an awesome time. The rig fit like a glove and the pilot 188 opened soft and on heading each time. The people at Zhills were very friendly. I will post pics as soon as possible.

Gary and KK have made this experience seamless and very enjoyable. He has delivered as he say’s!! If anybody is interested in buy a new rig……talk to Gary, he will take good care of you.

  4. Well, Santa Gary came throught big time!!!

As posted in part 1, went through Gary at KK to buy a new rig, and have to wait approx 22 weeks for new Vector 3. KK has a "Demo" program for people to use a rig while waiting for new container to be delivered.

I received a brand new Pilot for a "Demo" canopy!!

Yesterday I received a brand new Vector 3 in the mail straight from UPT!!! Nothing like getting a "loaner" container that is factory sealed, never assembled!!! I also recieved my CYPRES. See attached pictures.

I am awaiting my reserve to arrive, but people need time off during the holiday, so I will have to wait until next week.

Anyway, this purchase from KK has so far been seamless!!! Gary is awesome. I am simply amazed!!! Will do all of my shopping with Karnage Krew!!!

If you want a new rig, get in touch with Gary, he will set you up!!

  6. Would like to tell the story of my new rig buying experience!!

Like most you, I came off of student status with a desire to own my own gear. Did my homework, jumped a couple different rigs, got the advice from my DZO/Rigger and went on a search for gear. I run across Karnage Krew’s website. Look at it top to bottom, and see the feedback they have on their site and on DZ.com

I shoot them an email and get a fast response from Gary!!! What an awesome dude to work with. I give him my information, he offers a few suggestions and the next thing I know……I am ordering a brand new Vector 3 with all the options, a PD reserve and a Cypress. He is even setting me up with a payment plan!!!

If you do not know UPT is advertising a 22 week delivery time of custom containers!! No problem!! KK has this demo program. They send you your reserve and Cypress and send a demo container and a demo main to use until your new container and main are ready!!! At no extra charge! No more rental fees!! During or emails I find out that I am the FIRST person to take advantage of this!!

I receive a package from Aerodyne yesterday……..it is a Pilot with ZPx DOM 10-15-09!! Can you believe it? My “demo” main is a brand spanking new Pilot!!! I cannot wait to see the “demo” container they are sending.

Gary and Karnage Krew kick ass!!! If you need gear, give them a shout. Gary answers emails at all times of the day. I do not think he sleeps. I will buy all of my gear from them!!!

I will post more as the rest of my gear arrives!!!

  7. I am a Flight Nurse. Depending on pilot, we normally fly at 1800-2500. We hit them frequently and have close calls even more frequently.

I have seen some pics of a helicopter that ran into a flock of geese. It was not pretty. Could not imagine burning through a flock of geese at 120 plus!!!
