  1. Just get an ol' good Sabre 1. The best WS canopy there is. With a bit of flare it opens soft, fast and perfectly on-heading. And as it's 9-cell it's more fun to fly than 7-cells (especially Horizon is boring as f... - basically a Navigator with vectran lines) Storm and WinX have very short recovery arcs (Storm's being ultra short) so if you're into front riser turns you may take that into consideration.
  2. Can you say a bit more about what the actual problem is? Can't flare is a pretty big and nothing-saying statement :) Or maybe somebody can film you and you could share the video
  3. Because it works much more efficiently that way
  4. I second that. Knowing how to fly your body may and probably will help you with wingsuiting, but isn't a must. Same thing with some people being good at basketball but may suck at handball. It's a sport but a different discipline
  5. I actually seem to have the same kind of snaps in my blanket cover bought from Ikea :) I guess you can visit some materials store and ask.
  6. Hey, I need to reline my Pilot and though to ask about the lines. So I'm thinking to choose between 700 HMA or 700 ZLX lines. HMA is known and tested and works well. Anybody has some more information about ZLX lines? Basically if in any aspect they are better than HMA? - i.e if last longer, better to pack etc?
  7. That's also my exact experience. You have to pull more with Pilot in the first phase of the flare, or lengthen your brake lines (but in this case using fronts will not be fun as you'll be pulling the tail of your canopy at the same time)
  8. Yes, I'm talking about ZP. Even though Valkyrie Hybrid has ribs made of sail, it still is mostly made of ZP. If I got it right, Alexg3265 is talking about the sail ribs, which will degrade over time
  9. I'm wondering is it the different kind of ZP fabric that is used or is it that due to high speed and pressure it just wears out much faster?
  10. Not sure if it's just my impression, but in case of both Valkyrie and Leia the fabric seems to degrade super fast. When I compare e.g. my Pilot and Scirocco both which have around 400 jumps on them and my Leia which has about 150, Leia feels like has been washed several times and has at least 2-3 times more jumps on it then two other canopies. Still flies nice though, but the fabric itself seems very worn out. Also applies to fairly new Valkyries which I've seen. Anybody has similar experience?
  11. Matt from SQ wrote a short article about this. I think around the time Colugo 2 or first version of C-Race came out so quite some time ago. But if you drop him a message he'll answer for sure.
  12. So would Zulu vs Stiletto be more relevant comparison?
  13. You forgot to scream "'Murica, fuck YEAH!!!!"
  14. Dragon heart string. I think squirrels are unicorn blood though, so that's something to consider. I thought those were made from hymen of 11-year-olds, but must have been updated in latest versions...
  15. The term you're looking for is 'recovery arc'

  17. you can, but would be much better to get a phantom or sth equivalent from other brand. It won't be too big to start wingsuiting- it's basically THE standard for first flight courses as it is easy to handle but still flies (very) well if you know how. But if you think of getting sth bigger later (especially havoc) the step will be much smaller between those two. The fact that you can get the prodigy for a "really decent price" says it all how useful it is
  18. Thanks! This seems like a simple and easy solution
  19. What do you mean? Pilot definitely has a negative recovery arc
  20. Alright. At first I understood it that if you're head-down -> open leg wing, which got me confused. But it may be just the issue between my ears...
