  1. I just picked up a sony dsc-t900, which shoots 720p video. I will upload a video sample tonight or tomorrow. But, I was wondering if this would work to record some of my jumps? "Motorcycle riders understand why dogs stick their head out of car windows"
  2. Are there any skydiving places in Istanbul? I couldn't find one. I'm actually half Turkish, my dad and all of his family live in Turkey. I'm hopefully going in August for a few weeks. Hopefully I'll have my A license by then. "Motorcycle riders understand why dogs stick their head out of car windows"
  3. I'm also interested in other devices with (similar) functionality. I've only made a few skydives, so I'm not aware of every feature that an experienced skydiver would want. "Motorcycle riders understand why dogs stick their head out of car windows"
  4. I was thinking of building a skydiving recorder. A device you could wear on you that would record your velocity, gps coords, alitude and orientation. Then, the idea being you'd plug it into your computer and could see a "3d" representation of your dive. This would actually work for just about any sport. 5. The d90 video, I wouldn't say is very good. Quality wise it's amazing due to good lenses. But, look at sample video with basic motion, like capturing a car going across the frame. It doesn't do action or movement very well. To be honest, I'm very inexperienced with skydiving in general, but just look at the video. Basic movement isn't captured very well, I couldn't imagine skydiving being any better. The 5d though, might be ok. Someone recently recorded a NIN concert with a 5dmkII and it looked decent. Here is the link to the video: http://www.vimeo.com/3388630?diggbar Someone here with more experience should be able to help determining how the 5d would do under a skydiving test.
