  1. Yes, I did mean Skydive California in TRACY! D'oh!
  2. I've jumped at all Nor Cal DZs, regularly at Skydance and Bay Area Skydiving (which I love) for 15+ years, but my new home is Skydive California in Davis. I can't recommend them enough. I didn't mention other DZ's by name for a reason. But you've already been to Lodi, so keep on learning from experience.
  3. hey man! I was in the door facing the tail. Pat and I were just going to freefly the exit and I went out on my back, then THUD! something to be aware of for sure!
  4. the flaps in question are the main pin flap, a couple of panels on the reserve flap, and the mud flaps. I've attached a picture of what the rig mostly looks like...
  5. does anyone have any input/feedback/etc. with this? http://www.jonescam.tv/helmet_camera.html
  6. no WS jump. as I said in my original post, I exited flat on my back; a back track exit. I was too close to the front of the door, which is over the wing.
  7. the color (orange) on some parts of my rig is fading and I want to touch it up. is there a specific type of dye that works best, and what should I avoid? or is this even a good idea?
  8. I jumped our new PAC 750 in Davis, CA this past weekend and slammed my head on the wing. the plane and my head are both fine, but I was lucky to have worn a helmet on this jump, as I had not worn one on the previous 2 jumps. basically, I did a back track exit and was too close to the front of the door... I should have been further towards the tail. I fear a newbie wing suit jumper opening his wings too early and clipping the tail, though.
  9. As a member of Burning Sky, I can safely say that Burning Man is not a good place for a boogie, but it is a great place for demo jumps. there are landing areas away from the main communal areas, but it is more fun to land in the middle of all the action, but also inherently more dangerous (think moving targets, people under the influence, errant kites, randomly placed structures, etc.). if it were a boogie, we'd probably have to enforce a D license limitation. Burning Man is f-ing cool, it's still just as fun as it was when I first went. Skydiving there is incredible, too. If you want more info, check out www.aerialsoul.com/burningsky
  10. anyone out there know the results from the Carnivale Competition in Brasil?

    Quasar

I am looking for a comparitive description of Quasar II rigs. It looks similar to other rigs I have seen in terms of it's overall design. Does anyone have any familiarity with these container/harnesses?
