Anybody know any good DZ's in Romania ?

Well the end of December is not really that best time to go skydiving in Alaska, a bit dark and chilly . But if you do make it there in the summer time and they're open I do highly recommend you try to make a jump there. I was able to make a jump there a year and a half ago and it was absolutely amazing. It's a breath taking view with the snow caped mountian ranges of Alaska and great people you can't miss. I've also been out to DZ's in CT and although there great too you can't compare the opportunity and the scenery to make a jump in Alaska.

Im jsut curious what you base your opinion on about the DZ "sucking?" Seeing how you you average about 3.5 jumps a year, have you really given it a chance? Well, one DZ pretty only cares about tandems. Ask any skydiver in Israel that's a know fact. VERY NOT skydiver friendly. However the second one which Highlee was talking about, which unfortunately I only got to jump at once is really a lot better. That first comment I made about that DZ was not at all accurate. The only reason I haven't been able to jump there is cuz they don't have gear rentals as available as the other DZ. which is a very funny thing. But just because unfortunately life always seems to get in the way of my skydiving activity that doesn't mean I don't have capability of judging a good DZ from a bad one. From the little experience I have from my 51 jumps I've jumped in 2 DZ in Israel 2 in Arizona my home DZ while I live in Phoenix was in Eloy. I've also jumped in New York and Alaska and have visited DZ in Ohio, Connecticut and Massachusetts. On top of that I've spoke over the phone to other DZ all over the U.S and the world and I've never got such a bad vib from a DZ like the first DZ in Israel i spoke about. Except the rigger over there gr8 guy very professional and always wanting to help me. So that is how I base my opinion.

Haha, what are the odds? ) It's a small country so actually pretty good. As soon as my rig is finished you'll be seeing a lot more of me that's for sure

Well, one of those are my home dropzone, and ever since my aff course 13 months ago, I've managed to jump a little under 300 jumps. Plenty of people here to jump with. Plenty of RW, or freefly, whatever floats your boat. Friendly atmosphere, safety oriented. So first come and give it a try. Then you can decide to say that the DZ "sucks". Yea I know, your are right you guys are gr8 down there. Was just a little frustrated that day when I made that post. I saw you today I'm the guy that did the refresher course with you. Didn't get to make a jump today but that's because of gear issues but you guys where gr8 about. So oops on that little comment. But I do hope to get down there a lot more often so I can meet more ppl from there.

I wish. I'm in Israel and we only got 2 DZ's one sucks and the other doesn't suck as bad

I'm live in Israel and I was just in Rome for a couple of days visiting so traveling is not such an option. I hope to make it to Thailand in the spring and maybe take a course or just meet some ppl there. There's not much of a community here. I used to live in Phoenix and jump all the time in Eloy so when I came over here it was like having my balls cut off But I guess I'll figure something out. There gotta be someone here to jump with

yea... but it kinda tough thou where I jump. It's one of those DZ's that do mostly tandems so thats why I wanna find something to work on on my own till I meet some jumpers there. Also the staff there isn't so friendly too.

So after 9 years since my first jump and only 40 something jumps with lots of refresher courses in between, I'm finally getting my first rig and don't really know where to go from here. I don't have anyone to jump with at my DZ that's at my level or a little bit higher so that I can learn something from. So I was wondering, until I find someone if anyone out there can give me some pointers on what to focus on or practice on solo jumps?

I got a student cypres with a little more then a year left on but just got a vector 3 container with a 190 main in it. So I was wondering what the general thoughts are about installing the cypres in that rig. IU it possible and safe? Thanks

I'm going to be in Rome for a couple of days and want to find a good place to spend a day jumping. Does anybody out there know what DZ's are around Rome and which one is the best?
