  1. The list must remain. It is your responsibility not to fuck up and end up on the list. Consequences of dying include a list entry. This is a fact of life whether you like it or not. bsbd! Yuri.
  2. The only comparable container is Razor, we had both on the load this morning. I like L/D+ a bit better, both will work great. L/D+ has a flatter top, but the difference is rather small, and Razor will probably get refined to match L/D WS-X is a thing of the past, and Helium isn't really a WS rig (but nice anyway). bsbd! Yuri.

    Spain

Yo! Coming to Spain for a couple of weeks. Will appreciate any contacts and info. Anybody wants to play? Please PM
  4. Yo! Finally got to fly a sweet little toy. I will be short: if you don't get one for this wingsuit season, you may as well cry yourself to bed and take up golf. It is anywhere from very painful to downright impossible to fly a normal monster rig after you have seen the light bsbd! Yuri.
  5. Ok, here's something to compare: from same exit, Prodigy makes it to the second road. V2 comes high over the last field and will hit the wall if you don't pull or turn. bsbd! Yuri.
  6. I didn't think the flock felt particularly hard, but I checked my Neptune graph later on and we were averaging between 55 and 60mph... I have to agree about Classic being ok for 90% flocks. Mine was flying at 45mph averages. bsbd! Yuri.
  7. The beauty of BASE: when you fuck up, everybody gets to piss on your grave and watch the video in slow-mo over and over again. Carnage tape is due for re-edit. Don't fuck up! bsbd! Yuri.
  8. Prodigy definitely flies at 1.6+. For a point reference, i took it over the bar at ITW (1.7km distance, 1200m alt) and to the second road from LM at Swiss Valley. bsbd! Yuri.
  9. Chuck, could you please translate this into plain English, or at least into plain math? Leaving glide aside, does this mean that your average vertical for the entire flight, that simple 2-digit number on Neptune, is less than 35mph? If it is not, what you describe would be rather impossible to do Now, if you wish to get back on a technical track... Your mileage may vary, but for me the points of min sink and max glide are very close. I know they are further apart for many others. bsbd! Yuri.
  10. Low 100s? James, Robi, JN or i are all 150+ lb. Ah, got sucked into a silly vertical speed subject again... It's the glide that matters, and weight is irrelevant for L/D bsbd! Yuri.
  11. What's a big deal? It's pretty standard for a good pilot, and has been for the last 4 years - at least in BASE world Uncle, you rule! bsbd! Yuri.

    ITW in April

Lots of russians will be there for a boogie. That was already discussed in another thread. bsbd! Yuri.
  13. Yo! Might be coming for a couple of weeks in March. Please PM if you're in town. bsbd! Yuri.
  14. Bummer, what a piece of history it was! 460, you just might remember these: http://maxf.net/~outrager/3m.jpg http://maxf.net/~outrager/6m.jpg and a few more... http://maxf.net/~outrager/fl22s.jpg http://maxf.net/~outrager/11-18.jpg http://maxf.net/~outrager/1m.jpg http://maxf.net/~outrager/fl16s.jpg http://maxf.net/~outrager/11-17.jpg Obviously, face shots are taken in a studio near Hollywood. bsbd! Yuri.

    Domenican Republic

Yo! I've jumped a B under construction on Malecon in SD a few years ago. I'm sure it's still there, as are a few other reasonable Bs in the city. Don't have any local contacts, though. Haiti is fun! bsbd! Yuri.
  16. Jeff, you are really hurting your business here by refusing to back your statements up with numbers. They begin to sound, well, quite exaggerated. Vertical speed should be an obvious strong point of your suit. It is also incredibly easy to measure precisely. So one more time: Could you please post Neptune flight and 12-9-6-3k averages of your best maxed-out flight? A lot of people (read potential customers) would like to know these numbers. If you refuse to post it, could you explain why? bsbd! Yuri.
  17. Fucking nice to hear this ended up well
  18. It takes 15..20sec to loose 1000' in a maxed out suit. It would take a full minute to gain that much altitude over other suits if your vertical speed was only two-thirds of others (a huge stretch already). Would it be possible to make a maxed out jump with Neptune and post 12-9-6-3k averages to substantiate this claim? I do realize it won't have much to do with L/D, but still... please? bsbd! Yuri.
  19. BTW, do you have the numbers for a helipad LZ? It ought to be just over 1? bsbd! Yuri.
  20. AFAIK at ITW he never made it to LZ. Making LZ requires 1.5..1.7, depending on your start and opening altitude allowances. Also, 32sec was done at ITW in a tracking suit. bsbd! Yuri.
  21. Allright! Summer is coming soon, let's go play! Will stay in touch bsbd! Yuri.
  22. Generally we just don't jump if there is much wind, and being right there before exit, we can easily check direction and speed of whatever wind there is. But anyway, flights we use for determining D/L are simply made in zero-wind conditions. bsbd! Yuri.
  23. This is an obvious and big advantage, but only to a point where endurance comes to play. When you have to hold it for a long while, tall and skinny may have a harder time. So, how about a few cliffs this summer? bsbd! Yuri.
  24. First one Google finds: "a man distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength". For example, 9/11 hijackers fit the definition perfectly. Of course people tend to apply such definitions very subjectively. bsbd! Yuri.
