  1. Following on from the other posts about landing technique, Brian Germain has a whole bunch of videos that you could watch while recovering. Its no substitute from being debriefed on your own jumps but they're pretty extensive.
  2. I'm on the lookout for a used 190 too. They seem to get picked up really quickly so I thought I could take a trip to the US and grab myself a new canopy and have a holiday too.
  3. I'm curious about the relatively easy packing and volumes of the pilot with zpx and the silhouette. Considering a brand new canopy: which is easiest to pack? I have a PD210 in a dolphin D4 at the moment and would like to downsize to a 190. Would either of these be too small (as 190sq ft) for this container given that the zpx packs a bit smaller the a zp 190 and the sihouette has 50% F111 which also packs small. Thanks
  4. Thanks bodypilot1. This sounds pretty good to me. Do Hollister, Lodi and Skydance all endup as bars/hotels after jumping? If there are commonly other people staying on these DZ overnight then I may go for that. Camping could be a problem as I'd need to bring a tent from the UK. I suppose I could always buy one in SF and donate it the DZ when I leave.
  5. Thanks NWFlyer. I was thinking of grabbing a hotel in a nearby town then taking taxis to and from whatever DZ I end up at. Maybe I should just read up on the US highway code and hire a car.
  6. Hello all, I'll be in San Francisco in early June and have a few days (midweek) to spend at a DZ. I'll be travelling alone and probably won't hire a car so I'll need a DZ near(ish) somewhere with hotels/bars. I see there's a few DZ around the North California area and I think my short list is Hollister, Lodi,Skydance or MontereyBay. I have only recently recieved my A licence but I'd like to do a good number of jumps during my stay if I can. Would anyone care to suggest which would be a good DZ for me? Thanks
