Joseph William Kittinger II (July 27, 1928 – December 9, 2022) served as a United States Air Force (USAF) officer from 1950 to 1978. He was a fighter pilot who earned Command Pilot status and retired as a colonel. He held the world record for the highest skydive—102,800 feet (31.3 km)—from 1960 until 2012.[1][2]

For me that's 1800feet. I chop it. Theoretically this should give me enough alt to accelerate back in free fall to fire my cypress at or near 1000 if I am unable to find my reserve handle.

Flipping though the pages of my recent copy of Parachutist (April 2012 issue 630) I notice something odd in the picture on page 81. Let's see if a student can figure what the malfunction is.Faster, Faster, Faster

QuoteJust curious...
In case of accident and lawsuit, how did it work out in court with the plaintiff's presentation of the jumper's toxicology report?
In what case?
Yaa, that's what I thought
So, USPA is all about safety, but the whole time I have been jumping, NOT ONCE have I seen the organization bring up a safety issue having to do with the use of Pot. You know why? Because they would loose half their membership and Lodi would be the only DZ on the West Coast.Faster, Faster, Faster

Having a med card won't keep you from getting sent home packing if you're staff at Skydive Elsinore
Actually if you have a card you are excluded from having to test. I will give you the example privately if you wish O, and no one is sent packing, you are still welcome to pay $25 and fun jump
Hay, you let the cat out of the bag so you should tell the truth. I just don't want anyone thinking they have cups waiting for them at manifest. Shoot if that were the case all there would be left is winsuiters

Yaa, back in the 80s we would do that, but it kinda died out cause you would get really F'd Up and pass out and loose a whole day. You couldn't function at all. I doubt you would even be able to get on a plane so it's not even relevant on tis threadFaster, Faster, Faster

As a PO here in Canada, I can tell you that I have been to many scenes where dealers have had a transaction gone bad and the result has been a body in the ditch that we have to deal with.
I wonder if those people would have died if it had been a legal transaction? O then you wouldn't have a job either

Back in the day, Andy Malchiodi from SoCal produced an awesome skydive movie, “The Remedy.” Can anyone provide me with the song list? Blue Skies
