  1. Question for TIs who have first hand experience with both VR360 and Icarus/Precision 330 Reserves. Comparison?
  2. Does anybody have (or know somebody that has) an STC for 5 jumpers for a wide body Cessna 182? Thanks!
  3. So what are you getting at? What do you do for slow motion on that dubbing equipment?
  4. WE ARE A DROP ZONE THAT IS SLOWLY LOOKING TO START CONVERTING TO HD CAMERAS. WE STILL USE LINEAR EDITING EQUIPMENT AND PROBABLY WILL FOR THE REST OF THIS SEASON. SOME OF OUR CAMERAS ARE ON THEIR WAY OUT AND WE ARE LOOKING AT THE CX 100 .... OR WHATEVER THE LATEST AND GREATEST MIGHT BE. WE ARE NOTICING THAT THE SLOW MOTION PLAYBACK ON THE CX100 IS VERY JUMPY. AREN'T TOO THRILLED WITH PUTTING THAT ON OUR VIDEOS. ANY SUGGESTIONS? ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW OF A GOOD PLAYBACK CAMERA / PLAYER THAT WOULD MAKE A SMOOTH SLOW MOTION? WHEN WE USE THE CX100 TO EDIT, THE SLOW MOTION LOOKS LIKE A SPECIAL EFFECT AND WE DONT' THINK IT LOOKS NICE ENOUGH TO USE FREELY AS WE USED TO USE THE SLOW MITON FROM OUR PC350 CAMERAS. ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
  5. Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the 2 cameras, for skydiving purposes. Seems as though the 100 is discontinued. Are they pretty much the same? I know that the 100 doesn't have a slow motion feature for playback and that you have to press pause, then slow motion really fast to try to make a smooth transition while editing -- same on the 150? Any suggestions? Is anyone using a GOOD .6 or .7 wide angle on these cameras? Thanks!!!
  6. Thanks -- It is a Rebel G -- I'll try to borrow a different lense. Thanks a lot.
  7. Hi- I'm using a Sigma lense -- I bought on Ebay -- have the warranty card -- but no date, so I'm not sure how old it is. It is a 24MM F2.8. Think that's the problem? An if so, would it be intermittent? Thanks!!
  8. Thanks for your input. Its not a battery issue as it happens to all the camera people here with Rebels intermittently. Once in a while they land and it has shut down a few shots out of the plane. Canon says that that battery message indicates that "you are asking the camera to do something it can't" and that these cameras weren't designed for skydiving... My question was directed at what setting people are using on the Rebel Gs. As far as license D-21379 -- 3,000+ jumps. Thanks!
  9. I just got a Canon Rebel G and am trying to figure out the proper settings for the camera. I have put it in Sports Mode as well as in Tv with shutter speeds of 125 and 500 and have had it shut down on me a few shots out the door. I land and the display is blank with the "empty battery" showing. I have fresh batteries and have changed them and sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks! Alex
