  1. Hi, I have just got the Quest container for repack and inspection but in order to make it airworth I need the local certificate - Russian one (Quest does not have neither TSO nor JTSO). Could someone share this kind of certificate with me? Does anyone have contact details to Atmosphere Gear anyway (Quest container producer). Their web side does not work (www.atmogear.com) so as the e-mail ([email protected]). Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  2. I jump the Katana 135 with WL 1.6 (150 jumps) and what I can say is: she's a bitch that I love :) The openings are acceptable But after the opening .... you have a non-X-braced Velo above your head :) and her dive is what I love the most. here is the example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du7zzs1jxoI&feature=g-upl My piece of advice: together with Katana buy the mPOD or LazyBag (it will improve openings) Note that original braking lines are quite long (necessary for swooping) and that is why for people with short arms it might be difficult to shut her down. 3. since there are some inquiries about TSO cert. please see the order form from SWS Web site: http://www.swsrigs.com/files/fire_orderform_eng_01.12.pdf hope it helps. Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  4. I am confused.... SWS Fire container has FAA TSO - C23d certificate and the tests were conducted in Airtec comp. Isn't it enough to jump it in US? Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.

  6. Hi, A friend of mine is thinking about SWS Fire container. http://www.swsrigs.com/products/fire/ I am trying to get owner opinions about this rig. If you are using one - please post here what you think of it. Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  7. Hi, Has anyone tried this configuration? I know that W8 is designed for 143 sqft reserve but since Wings are really tight I was wondering if it fits SMART120. Wings can easily take 2 down in main (I have Crossfire 149 in my rig which is designed for 190 main). P.S. It will have AAD too Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  8. I believe Argus has already been grounded in more than one country so far. In Poland ARGUS had been grounded for a year after a girl jumper died when loop was not cut properly. On the 15th of March ARGUS was allowed to be used after replacing cutters produced before 2008. Now I doubt it was a good decision. Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  9. OK thanks. Keeping it ON is OK for me. I just wondered why it does not work as in instruction. Anyone has an idea what is the following sequence for: After performing ACCESS I press and hold "SET" button and at the same time press and hold "MODE" button. The READY light flashes a few times then 2 bips, a break for a few seconds and then 4 quick fleshes of READY light. Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  10. Hi, I have a problem with pro-dytter which I bought. It occurred that it is in Automatic Mode and there is no way to switch it off. I perform ACCESS and then press and hold "SET" button and .....nothing - warning lights just wane as if nothing happened. What is more, it cannot be switched to Economize mode. When I set all 3 warning alarms to 6500 ft. nothing happens - just after a few seconds lights wane. I have found also a feature that is not in the instruction. After performing ACCESS I press and hold "SET" button and at the same time press and hold "MODE" button. The READY light flashes a few times then 2 bips, a break for a few seconds and then 4 quick fleshes of READY light. No idea what it is for. Has anyone had similar problems? P.S. L&B does not repair PRO-DYTTER any more, so there is no chance to send it to them. Blue sky Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.
  11. I jump Merit 170 (with wing load 1.2) and I like it too. Sometimes I jump it with a camera and there is no problem with openings. The only problem is when you try to pack it too quickly - take time - put outer cells into the middle one, roll the tail tightly and Merit will not hurt you. For me personally brisk openings (brisk not hard) are quite comfortable especially that sometimes I exit at 800m (2700ft). Imagine then the faces of those who jump Sabre2s which open after 300m/1000 ft Free speech includes the right not to listen, if not interested.

    Merit

I have just bought Merit 170 and made 20 jumps on it (with the wing load 1.2). Before I started jumping it I thoroughly read about packing and I must admit that putting right & left inlets into central cell and rolling the tail tightly really works. When adding slider with pockets you get quite nice openings - brisk but far away from hard. Last jumps were made with camera - no problem about openings. Merit requires a special landing technique since it needs time to make the flight horizontal (and forget about going that way for 10 or even 5 meters like modern canopies can do). But when you get use to it you will have quite nice landings even on no-wind days and with high exit weight (label says max. 100kg and I fly it with exit weight of 94 kg). However I would not dare to overload this canopy.
  13. jumping Mi-8 is a lot of fun, beautiful scenery, packing area (under roof) should be much bigger but even so it was a great weekend.
