is there any relation between size of main and reserve canopy?

so, i will go to base jumper.com

because of lack of facility (mainly aircraft ) in my country , free fall jump from paraglider (tandem) becomes very popular recently .i am looking for some advice and safety tips and probably any instruction in this field that may can increase the safety in such jumps .
