Media player uses the defualt setting that you specify in the Device manager. If you want to change the default read\ write speed the you have to go into the device manager and choose the CD properties. (this can also be done by going into my computer) From here choose the max write speed. Personally I use Nero since it does everything that I want it too. Most other people agree with me that it is the best program to use for burning Cd's. If you don't like that one maybe you can try CDRwin. I have actually been battling this for about a week myself and here is what I did to solve the problem Set my Promary HD as the master on IDE 1 and set my NEW DVD drive as the salve on that IDE channel. Booted my PC into the desktop (WinXP) and made sure all was detected. Then added the old burner ( an TDK 56x ) as the primary on the 2nd IDE channel and the second HD as the slave on that as well. Now when I booted up everything was working. On a further note, when you have a DVD burner and CD burner installed on WinXP which ever one you used last will become the default formatt. To correct this problem you will have to toggle between the drivers used for the cd burner and DVD burner. You can also work around this by NOT installing any 3rd party crap software that comes on those installation disks. If you need any help PM me and I'll do what I can. I saw this movie last night and I was very dissapointed. I admit that my hopes were a little high for this movie but it still did not do very well IMHO. They didn't need to try to make Arne so funny, it was great in the moment but took away from the overall. I really want them to make a 4th movie here in the series but at the same time they really need to get an actor who can act to play the terminator or get rid of the terminator all together and just have them fighting the war. I am in a pretty good mood right now because I just had my third interview for a second job at best buy, Largest Canadian Electronics retailer. I am pretty comfortable during interviews and around people I don't really know all that well when George, the GM of the St.James Location, says about half way through the interview " When would you like to know if you got the job?" I tell him "whenever is good with me"! " Can you start on the 12th of July"? Anyways, what does this all mean? Well now that I have this second job and can use all the extra money to skydive and use the cash from my other job to pay for school and pay off loans, that sorta thing. Because of this new job I might have to work weekends, but I'm counting on the people at my DZ to get to together and organize weekday loads whenever possible. I am getting my A this summer and this job just made it possible
