  1. I just got an old P1 that fits perfect and I plan to learn with. I can't afford anything else so I have to do with it. I have a lot of sewing experience doing sail repair and was hoping to add some inlets as the P3 has on the front only, wings and legs. Is this worth doing?
If anyone who used to jump a P1 can give me their opinions how it flew, how they think it would improve with inlets... or anyone who has added inlets to any wingsuit, if it was fairly easy let me know what they think. Thanks!

***Congrats on dealing with your first. i was in a similar boat having a cutaway early on at jump 24.

Question - How come such quick downsizing so early on? I'm hanging on up until around 100 jumps before i consider doing so, but i am wing loading at bang on 1 on a 230 at the moment.

Its a combo of a couple of things. First my coaches have been watching my canopy skills, and feel that I'm ready for each down size, and I keep pushing (learning and practicing as much as possible) to get downsized because the transition gear at my DZ in my size are a hot commodity. If my coaches and I feel safe at a size that is something that can be "mine" for the weekend, I'd rather do that then possibly get bumped from loads because my rig is already in the air on someone elses back.

Not a great reason to downsize IMO, don't rush things. At least 100 jumps @ a 1 loading is a good idea, i did about 300 and loved every one of them

  3. If I paid the $250k for a ticket, I'd seriously consider asking for a refund, if they won't give it, I'd still pass on the trip I think.

Would be nice to go to space for 5 mins, but not worth the risk with a new program....5 mins is not a long time!

Own VC84 love it, had a VE90 before that. But a fair amount of jumps on a friends JVX74, XAOS 84, JFX 90.

Enjoyed all of them, prefer either the JVX or VC personally.

VC @2.2-2.6 - better overall than the same sized VE IMHO, openings, rear response etc.. Super fast, light ish fronts, dives for days, fast.

JVX @ 2.5- Loved the flight characteristics, rears for DAYS!, openings at terminal are not as good as the VC (again opinion), turn it lower than the VC for sure little freaky at first.

Xaos @2.3- Fun just not as fun as the other. Openings are beautiful sub and full terminal, shallow recovery (comparatively), stable.

JFX @2.0- not my cup of tea, opened great, heavy fronts, shallow.

How much you weigh, you only jumping one years seems like pretty small
