  1. For the mirage you may want to look at either a M2 or a M3. I jump a M2 with a PD 143 reserve and put around 300 jumps on it with a sabre 2 170 main. Packing is a little tough at first if you’re not a good packer and have a new canopy though. I even had a PD vengeance 170 in that container for a little while which is an airlock canopy so it packs about 20% larger according to PD. You can also go with a PD 160 optima for a reserve in a M2. As for a M3 the main is the same size but you can fit a PD 160 reserve or a 176 optima reserve.
  2. I have a G3 M2 with a 143 reserve (non optimum) and I’ve had a sabre 2 170 with 75 jumps and a PD vengeance 170 with about 300 jumps on it. It wasn’t the easiest to back but it worked.

    Stouts

I’m brewing a chocolate cherry stout right now that should finish just over 8%ABV. It’s the chocolate stout with lactose sugar that I usually do but I am adding 3 lbs of cherry pure to the secondary
  6. Your best bet would be to get a starter kit and a extract kit from here. http://www.northernbrewer.com/ I still order a extract kit every once and a while when I don’t have time to do all grain and wana brew a batch (I actually have one of their stouts going right now). Sofar I haven’t had a bad tasting batch yet.
  7. I gota agree with SLC. There are a lot of great mountains right in the area. I would also suggest Telluride in Colorado. I just found out about this place but haven’t actually been there yet. I’m thinking about doing a trip out there next year. http://www.silvertonmountain.com/page/home
  8. +1 I got to see this one in concert 2 years ago in nyc. Shane was a drunkin mess but it still sounded great!
  9. I don’t know if I would call the bouncing souls a warm up for BR. They put on an amazing show by themselves. I would think they are playing together since they are both gona be in the area at that time and the souls are on their 20th anniversary tour and BR is on their 30th anniversary tour. I actually just saw the bouncing souls about a month ago playing on a cruise around Manhattan. A lot of times the opening bands are people that they know or are smaller bands on the same record label. That way more people are introduced to them.
  10. Yea I’m going on Thursday. I think tickets were $35 if you get them at Roseland, $47.50 if you get them from Ticketmaster. I missed them when they were around a few weeks ago and when mike ness toured with his solo album but every other time I’ve seen them they put on a great show. I think I was talking to you about jumping with gloves at the DZ on Saturday.
  11. I haven’t seen them in a few years now. I was hoping to catch at least one of the 30th anniversary shows but wasn’t able to make it. was the show last Wednesday when they played stuff from “into the unknown”? Are you going to Social Distortion next week?
  12. I play the highland bagpipes in a marching and competition pipe and drum band and I was trying to teach myself the mandolin but haven’t picked it up in a few weeks.
  13. SDLI is a great DZ. It's exit 69 off the long island expressway. So it's not far from the hamptons.
