  1. heya just got my license and have 30 jumps udner my belt. looking for a comfy skydiving openface helmet with space for audible. Ive been suggested the Guner by bonehead but was wondering what other helmets i should look at. thanks!
  2. haha great news i hate going to the gym and i love drinking beers. my goggles were on before my glasses but they were so loose that they got pulled away from my face!
  3. I think I posted here 6 months ago but I decided to wait for the spring and spend the winter saving moneys. My name is Peter Durham. DZ is Skydive Orange in VA I did cat A&B in september. Went back last weekend to beautiful weather. spent saturday retraining and had to wait for sunday due to 14+ winds. Jumped sunday morning and after my 3 practice pulls my goggles + glasses flew off my head! I am blind, not sure how I landed that parachute. Going back every single time the weather permits and down to the paraclete tunnel with Lambert the barefoot skydiver as soon as possible. I'm really small and skinny, like 130 and 5'9" I never goto the gym but if I were to start, what aspects of physical fitness are important to be a skydiver? Machines, cardio, etc? Eventually I wanna learn freeflying and wingsuiting! glad to meet ya!
  4. i ran out of money and time quick working on my AFF (only got 2 jumps in 7 weeks). im getting surgery for deviated septum which was my main problem (sinus infections). from now until the end of snowboarding season im gonna save up money to do the entire program in full going almost weekly. im going to do the program at skydive orange -where is the closest wind tunnel to Orange, VA? also when in my training would you suggest i visit the wind tunnel? before (considering ive done the training and 2 jumps) or later in on my training is there anything else i can do to prepare for the program over the winter? i have the SIM and i look through it often when im bored in class.
  5. my arch was ok on my cat A jump but when i jumped cat B i was loose and shaky. ive only been able to afford to go every 3-4 weeks so i have a lot of time in between to forget the routine =/ im jumping 2 cat c jumps next weekend and im nervous i wont complete them because of bad form. what can i do to prepare and make sure my arch is fine and i pass to D?
