    So a man is dating this girl named Wendy, and she keeps demanding that he get a tattoo of her name on him somewhere. After about 6 months he finally agrees but says he will get it on his penis so nobody can see it. He goes to get it and the man tells him to get hard so he can write it out. After it was done the man was a little upset that when he was soft all you could see was "WY". But the next night he is at a bar and has to piss.     A guy walks in to a bar with a black eye and sits down next to another gentlemen. The other man looks over and says what the hell happened to you? The man says I was fixing to buy an airline ticket, and I saw this woman with gigantic tits at the desk. I got up to her and instead of saying can I get a ticket to Pittsburgh I mixed up my words and said can I get a picket to Titsburgh and the bitch punched me in the face. The mans eyes got real big and said NO SHIT! The same thing happened to me the other day but I was at the dinner table with my wife and instead of saying can you pass the mash potatoes I said Your a fuckin bitch you ruined my life.

  12. Well I completely understand not wanting to pay a huge tax on used gear, but it just seemed like one of those things that were fishy when it came up. I am going to ship it out in the morning i guess, but I have printed out our conversation as back up in case paypal gets involved. He said he assumes the risk so I guess I will have a little faith in the system and just do it. I would just feel bad if they lost the package because that would seem like its my fault or something. I'll just give him a copy of the receipt and a tracking number and hope for the best. Thanks for the replies guys!

  13. I sold my container to nocek700 and the paypal payment cleared. He lives in Poland and wants me to declare the value of the goods <$100 so he doesn't have to pay extra taxes on it when I ship it. Only problem is that I was going to put insurance on it and have to declare a value. He said he will take responsibility if anything happens but is there anything else I need to watch out for that maybe can bite me in the ass? Just wondering if anybody else has made similar arrangements or worked with him before? Thanks

  14. I flew a Sabre 2 and then a silhouette back to back and can definitely agree that the Sabre 2 had more flaring power, but if I found a good deal on a silhouette I would definitely have no problem picking it up. Seemed like a pretty good canopy

  16. None, but I sure felt secure getting in the plane, not saying other dropzones don't have good training programs I was just suggesting the one that i went through was awesome thats all :)
    Not sure why you are wanting to get in a debate about this? lol but I was simply stating that that's where I did mine and I liked it a lot and actually learned.

  19. I did it for my 18th birthday and haven't stopped since. (I'm 19 now) But its funny how I was like the first one in my school to go and everybody was like man thats badass I'm gonna go for sure. A year and a half later only 1 of my friends has done it which he quit after his 2nd tandem. It does suck being in college and skydiving, I only get to jump once or twice a month right now, but this summer will get better. Just can't afford the money nor the time to spend all day at the dropzone :(

  20. Welcome, as a somewhat still new person to the forums also, I'll just give you the hint that if you have a question try to search for similar threads before you start a thread. Some people will be nice like the guy that posted first, but some will be quite hostile and get pissed off that you are basically posting in the dark which can be very discouraging and most of us here are a lot more friendly than that. :)
    Anyways, like I said I am just off student status and just bought gear. I also have to agree with buying used gear. There is no sense in buying new gear and having to wait for it to get to you, while also losing hundreds of dollars that you could have used for jumping! Many times you can sell the used gear to somebody else often for what you bought it for.

    Definitely talk to your instructor about what gear they prefer, but also talk to a few other instructors and see what they think, a lot of stuff is personal preference in this sport so go out and ask a lot of people (informed people) ie. instructors what they like and what would be good in your situation.

I think we also get referral credit, where we put our name on DZ business cards, and any new jumper who sign up for training and presents the card, gets I think a 10% discount on the FJC. Then the person whose name is on the card gets $12 worth of jump credit. One guy at our club brings BUS-LOADS of university students every summer, and I'd imagine he gets mucho credit.



    Yeah I go to Texas A&M and everytime somebody brings it up it seems like they are like wow will you take me!!?!? haha I just didn't know if that was a normal practice or not?

  23. As an instructor (or anybody for that matter) do you get any kind of bonus for bringing in X number of people? Guess what I'm asking is if you bring so many people to the sport does a dzo recognize that and maybe give you credits for jumps or anything, or do you just bring people in to help the sport grow?

  24. Well the problem is that there is a hole with a crappy patch over it right now, and the corners are fraying. I have searched pocket sliders but either way I am going to have to buy a new one, just need to know if I need to get a regular size so my rigger can make me a pocket like your talking about, or just to get the oversize one

  25. I know I CAN measure it, but what I'm saying is that he got smacked a bunch so I DON'T want the same slider. Haha and yeah he cut a hole in it :o
    But anyways, I am just trying to find out the measurements of the replacement sliders that have worked
