  1. To be honest, I was under the impression that that was precicely what winsor was getting at with his use of the term "tragic creature". But as kallend indicates, interpretation is everything. And before you come after me, identifying as another gender does not make you tragic. What is to become of his life now certainly is. To see quade come back with the "he did it first" defense only increases my disappointment in this forum. Guess I am too thin-skinned for this internet thingy.
  2. All my time on the internet I have never seen such a thinly veiled personal insult by a mod. I might even be offended if I believed in such a thing.
  3. Careful with the use of the word equivalent. It is currently illegal for me to carry a loaded fire arm in my car. That sounds a lot like an open container law. ETA: But I do think it is legal for my arms to be on fire
  4. Open container laws are the banning of an improper use of an object/substance. There are many laws already banning the improper use of firearms which most people have no problem with. I don't think anyone is advocating the legalization of firing off a gun into a crowd of people (clearly an improper use of an object) A more direct comparison with taking away guns (the object) would be the complete banning of beer because there are drunk drivers. Your comparison doesn't make any sense.
  5. Having a wedding on or around a holiday is like saying "I don't care if you had plans, my life is more important than yours." One thing people who are getting married forget is that other people tend to make travel plans around holidays well in advance. You are guilty of the exact thing you are complaining about. I may be a little bitter. There was a 4th of July wedding not too long ago where, I shit you not, the couple decided to stretch out the activities an extra day because everyone had vacation anyway.
  6. I'll have to assume that they are both 223 as I just did a Google Image search but you are exactly right. The first image is a short barreled rifle while the other is a pistol. The short barreled rifle is illegal. The pistol is legal. Gun laws are brilliant.
  7. Haha, I guess it does. The answer has more to do with classification.
  8. True that does make it scary but not the answer I am looking for.
  9. Who knows the main difference between these two weapons?
  10. Thanks everybody for the advice. I think I am going to go with IHI. It is a little more expensive but it really seems to cover everything.
  11. So is that just third-party private liability insurance?
  12. I am making a trip to Germany for work and am looking to make a skydive while I’m there if time/weather allows. So far I am having trouble getting information from the contact I was given and was hoping someone on here could answer what may be a very stupid question. In the original contact it was stated I would need my log book, license, and insurance license. The first two are no problem but I am not really sure what the insurance license is. Do I just need proof of insurance, or is this another way to refer to a waiver?
  13. I think you are all missing the point. Hover-Boards!
  14. I will flat out admit that football is a game of sprints. In fact, no lineman should ever have to move more than 10 yards (albeit 10 yards pushing an incredibly large man who is pushing in the exact opposite direction). That being said, your logic only seems to reiterate the fallacy I was trying to point out. If rugby players are so big, how do they train for size and endurance? Once again, I love rugby! I have just tried to limit the number of physical sports I take part in outside of skydiving. It would really suck to lose a couple of months skydiving because I threw my back out bowling.
