  1. Just to show you an alternative design to make you think (it's not my design btw - talk to Renier at Ram Air) Fits under the leg wing, cutaway on inside of leg works whilst wing is zipped up + the whole thing has a couple of foot leash around your ankle) on it so if you do cut away it doesn't fall into a crowd killing a bazillion people (BPA requirement) And the smoke canister is a nice distance away from the wingsuit. And you can remove the smoke canister and mount a go pro... Jump more, post less.
  2. Can't wait to come back - paid for my flights etc this week, got my trailer booked. Got a free upgrade voucher for car hire. IoM @ F&D 11 - it's on !! Jump more, post less.
  3. looking at the photo a comment might be made about how the lines don't look like they are under tension, this will then be made to sound like an issue with semi stowless bags. Sooo - here is a photo from a deployment with a standard bungeed bag. Jump more, post less.

  6. Yep - I've noticed a definite increase in the time mine takes to get a lock (etc). I was jumping with one of my friends and his was noticeably quicker at getting a lock than mine despite me doing all the warm up procedure on the ground etc etc. I lost maybe a third of a jumps data on that one :( And it's been happening quite a bit for maybe the last year. I'm also getting patchy tones out of mine - sometimes it will just cut out mid jump and then chime back in 10 seconds later with a sound like a sound effect for a dying plant (tricky to describe...) Mine is a version one though so when I get some cash I'm going to replace it.. Jump more, post less.
  7. 4k - I want everything unzipped and flying by 3k. Jump more, post less.
  8. Did he nearly rotate through the lines at about 2.10 and in slow mo at 3.47 on the video ?? Jump more, post less.
  9. You are the opposite of me, I always wanted to wing suit really well but I actually achieved wing suiting really badly... Jump more, post less.

  11. there is a way of doing it online so it doesn't matter if you are on linux. mac, PC or BBC model B http://gps4sport.com/ Here is one I made earlier... http://gps4sport.com/?a=TrackPlayerServer&i=465 Jump more, post less.
  12. The awesome program that is paralog allows you to import logs from a GPS (or alti etc) and then if you pay a little bit every year you can have them hosted in the cloud as an online log book. Here is mine. http://jumplog.net/summary.php?user=John%20Galbraith You can access any of the jumps on the left hand side, look at the flight stats and graphs and also view them using a google earth plug in. 15. Splat - if it will fit you I can lend you my ghost. Not using it that much at the mo' Jump more, post less.
  16. Yes, I was aware of that but it is inaccurate. I am waiting for a suit - when I placed the order the site showed a 16/18 week lead time. As you say it now shows a 14/16 week lead time. Will my suit take 18 weeks or will it take 14 weeks? When I ordered my V4 last year they had a 4/5 week lead time, but then by the time my suit should have been ready it had changed to 10 weeks.. Maybe I should have said "suits ordered the week ending... are shipping now" ?? No reason why both the current lead times and the current order dates being shipped couldn't be there if PF chose to do so. Anyway - just a suggestion :) Jump more, post less.
  17. Just a suggestion but how about including on the website the current order date range that you are working on. so lets say you were currently producing p3s with confirmed orders placed the week ending march 20th then if I'd ordered a p3 the first week in april I know it will be roughly 2 weeks before mine goes into production. if as mentioned above 40/50 emails a day are about lead times this might help cut that down for a small once a week page update Jump more, post less.
  18. [we live in the uk btw..] My girlfriends youngest son (he's 21) posted a photo of Bragg Creek a few hours before the video was taken - unfortunately he was on the wrong side at the time and wasn't allowed to cross back over the bridge so he's had to stay with friends. He was posting to facebook moaning that his phone was running out of charge. Priorities at that age eh ?? Did I hear that Banff was cut off for a while? Hope you guys are all ok over there!! 20. Thats one of mine. Dashware has support for both flysight and paralog. You just open Dashware, select your video file, select your data file and then just drag the slider to tell Dashware where the data starts compared to the video. Drop your gauges onto the video and you are done. Since I did that vid Dashware has more skydiving related gauges such as an alti and a few combined gauges. I thought I'd uploaded more gauge tests but I must have tidied up and removed them. There is also a very good online site that will combine gps data and video. http://gps4sport.com/?a=TrackDetailsFull&trackId=457 Jump more, post less.
  21. Big crash on a cross country mountain bike. Night ride, catching the lead rider, didn't see a big hole, as soon as the bike dissapeared there was nothing to light the track so I didn't know when I was going to hit the ground. I was in the air long enough to think "this is going to hurt" and it did... Jump more, post less.
  22. With this. Bought it from ramair skysports in spain. He does worldwide shipping http://www.ramairskysport.com/en And it converts to hold smoke. With a cutaway and a leash if you want the leash.. Jump more, post less.
  23. For comparison a Vid from last week at empuria. The throw is not included in the vid - just the right turn when something starts to go wrong.... When it opened my head was forced forward by the risers - watching the vid I'm surprised how long it took to unzip the arms Pulled at 4k - chopped at 2k when I realised I was going to run out of time before kicking the twists out. Lovely fast reserve deployment with the skyhook and no twists. Interesting to note that after just 15 odd seconds of spinning how dizzy I was under the reserve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SpOC8vze6o Oh - and if anyone finds my watch I'd quite like it back. 24. The short version of a long story - I ordered a v4 a while ago for my trip to empuria this week, lead times should have had the suit at home at the start of Jan, at start of Jan PF thought it would be start of feb, last week contacted PF and was told it would another 4 weeks. Asked if they could sort anything out and Robbie offered to sell me one of the V5 prototypes he flew in Mountain Trails. Who would say "No" to that ? Awesome service from PF :) Out to Empuria on Thursday so hopefully I'll be jumping it next week. p.s. the air scoops in front of the shoulders look big enough to swallow small birds...
