  2. Responding to direct request on how to reserve copy: www.square1.com (but it's not on the webiste...yet...) [email protected] [email protected] 1.800.877.7191 or 951.657.8260 fax 951.961.8843 or Square1 (Perris), Square2 (Eloy) or Square3 (Crosskeys) Pro Shops. I don't have the item number here (still at home) will get later and edit this post. I just received confirmation that the shipment was "in the Chronopost". You will NOT get it before Christmas. blues kate
  3. inbound means I don't have them in my hands yet. As soon as they hit country a fair amount WILL be shipped up to Eloy but it's high traffic season right now and they are coming from another country. You could, of course, reserve one... Loic is pretty excited about it though--which means I'm excited about it! Enough to order 100 copies sight unseen....
  4. The Soul Flyer II DVD will come BOTH NTSC and PAL (same disc). Not sure it's both sides (like Iiro's) or encoded differently. I have 100 en route to Perris. kate
  5. You are good to go. All orders placed and confirmed will ship. New orders subject to the availability. Note there are two copies currently "on hold' for customers so there is an outside chance more will open up but I wouldn't count on it. k
  6. Hi all all sold out, pending restock (when possible) from Iiro. I'll post if and when this happens. You can get on a wait list but no guarantees. Square2 (Eloy) may still have a copy or two left. Thanks for the interest and support. blues kate
  7. You've got it right. I am honored to call Perris Valley my home for those very reasons. bsbd kate
  8. I'll try and answer since Iiro isn't on line all the time. The feeling I got is that Limited Quanitity would be more applicable. I got 50 copies. I think he only pressed 100. I'll most likely pick up the rest quite soon (at this rate). If I'm wrong I hope Iiro will chime in but this has full artwork and is NTSC/PAL (one on each side). blues k
  9. [email protected] is correct. It's working for me. You can email me directly if needed [email protected] or [email protected] and I can process the order bsbd k
  10. Kudos to Lesley (one of my Base Chix) for the best JFTC coverage in any mag. The photos, article and side bars were all well written and put a smile on my face. I think copies may have been sent out to all JFTC participants--Skydive the Mag ROCKS!! Thank you so much for this kate
  11. There were many women from around the world involved and I'm looking forward to seeing the British, German, and Norwegian magazines as well--and hopefully more! Going for the "grand slam" of covers here! :-) k
  12. This is cool. Elf or Sponsor? Difficult decisions.... easy to skip a few Grande Lattes and make a childs Christmas a bit better. I'm in thanks for posting this k

  15. As an experienced skydiver who recently (this summer) started BASE jumping I think that I understand both views. My first jump was from the Norway cliff and was perceived by me to be a "skydive with consequences". Quite enjoyable, quite--achievable... (please refrain from blasting me on this comment--it was my experience--not yours) Now, 23 jumps (1 A and 23 legal S jumps) later I understand that to be a somewhat naive statement, but one that is, I am sure, shared by skydivers worldwide. How to change these perceptions? I'm not sure--other than getting the experienced jumpers who make the trek to Norway to attend a formal or mentored BASE course and learn the differences first hand for themselves. I see this as a perception mainly carried on by more experienced skydivers... "younger" ones tend to embrace BASE as a different sport with less prejudice *in my opinion* That, in a rather long nutshell, is my take. Almost 8000 skydives and 24 BASE jumps later. Anxiously awaiting arrival of my BlackJack so I can continue learning... k
  16. So.... how YOU doing? :-) I see Laura occasionally although I don't know if she is still jumping, Cathy (now Smith) lives with hubby Ryan and two sons in Pittsburgh and is still a regular skydiver. No idea about JNT... She was a short timer I think. And to add to my list (in no order)--Tommy Piras, Bungee Wallace, BJ Worth, DOB, Guy Manos, Sandy (Taylor) Wambach, Bill Legard, Caroyln Clay, Brian Jasperse and a host more of wonderful humans: past, present and those who I will be destined to meet in the future... kate
  17. WOOHOO!! Congratulations to the CRW Dogs on BOTH their records in face of weather, aircraft and other issues. WAY TO GO! Large formation skydiving is alive and kicking in the world!!! k

  19. Doh! the email for Pam and Randy is [email protected] I tried to edit the original post but couldn't figure it out and wanted to clarify this in a separate posting. Thank goodness I skydive better than I proofread. k
  20. Nope I'm not running the support event. Too much going on for me to handle the specifics on this as well as JFTC. But, that being said. It's a day-by-day committment, and we do have two organizers. We certainly will not be doing one-on-ones but I would think there would be some smaller (sub 20) stuff going on as well. Check with Pam and Randy at the provided email for specifics. The more the merrier though is what I say! blues (and pinks) kate
  21. Greetings A message about the Jump for the Cause Support Team. Due to numerous requests we have decided to offer an additional program. You are, of course, still welcome to enter the original program with all the JFTC support group benefits but for those who want an option we are pleased to present the: Jump for the Cause DAY PASS. For a $50 donation (per day) to JFTC you can make all the organized skydives you want on any specific day during the JFTC event. These dates are 26 September - 1 October. We will have world class organizers Roger Ponce de Leon and Fernando Gallegos on site putting together loads during the event. You will simply pay the normal jump ticket price directly to manifest. All jumps will be organized and most, if not all, will have video. As a special incentive there is chance that support group personnel will be asked to help the JFTC women do practice dives--you may get to jump with the JFTC women and help them reach their goal! Pre-registration and pre-payment is recommended, so that we can plan loads, but not required. Please contact Pam Riggs or Randy Garman at [email protected] for further information. Come on out to Perris to jump and party with the best women in the world! If you can't join us please consider sending a small donation to the participant of your choice to help her reach her goal. The current roster, with bios and photos, can be found at: http://www.jumpforthecause.com/participant_page.html JFTC calendars and raffle tickets are also available from participants. blue skies kate www.jumpforthecause.com
  22. Hi Meghan It would have been wonderful if you had answered any of the multiple emails I've sent you, but I guess this is a "better" format for you. No worries. Yes, we made a mistake. Yes, you made some too. Yes, we've bent over backwards to contact you and resolve the issues. No, my multiple e-mails to you have not been answered. No, we didn't cause you to lose your job. (where did THAT come from??!!) Yes, I spoke with you last week and when we parted YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE CONTENT. Now you come back with a public attack. Yes, it's a full moon, which probably explains a lot of this. If anyone wants details (sigh--it's kind of like a car wreck on the side of the road where everyone wants to slow down and look, isn't it), fee free to contact me. But I wish you wouldn't, as this is really betwixt Meghan (who, by the way, is NOT the end user of the equipment) and Square One. 23. Media Release (any questions directly relating to selection or applications to WT '06 should be directed to katejumps at square1.com no PM's please) Contact: BJ or Bobbie Worth World Team Organizing Committee Phone: 406-862-5484 FAX: 406-862-9020 E-Mail: [email protected] and [email protected] 8 August 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE World Team Announces its Quest to Build World Record 400-way Freefall Skydiving Formation (Whitefish, Montana USA) – The World Team Organizing Committee (WTOC) and the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) are collaborating to set a new FAI world skydiving record in Udon Thani, Thailand. The record attempts will take place 26 January through 12 February 2006. The RTAF will fly four C-130 Hercules aircraft in tight formation at 24,000 feet, providing the 400 skydivers and 13 freefall videographers 90 seconds to build and document the 400-person formation, and separate to safely open their parachutes. This project is the third episode of the Royal Sky Celebration that has commemorated historic milestones of the Royal Family in the Kingdom of Thailand during the past seven years. In 2006, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the longest reigning monarch in the world, will celebrate the 60th anniversary of his coronation. For information on previous Royal Sky Celebrations, please see the World Team website at: www.theworldteam.com. WTOC and its Team Captains from 14 nations are selecting hundreds of top skydivers from dozens of nations around the world to be part of the record breaking team – the largest international team ever assembled to set an official sporting record. Skydivers who have the skills, experience, and desire to take part on this record formation should contact one or more of the World Team Leaders and read the related material on the World Team website. This site includes information about participating on World Team, the World Team Leaders’ names and responsibilities, and a link to an on-line application for participation. World Team’s application process runs through 23 September 2005. Video and photographs of World Team’s formation will be submitted to the FAI (the world air sports federation) by FAI-rated Judges for official certification and homologation. World Team set the FAI world record for the largest freefall formation in 1999 with a 272-person formation in Ubon, Thailand, and set the current FAI world record with a 357-person formation in 2004 in Thakli, Thailand. In a related project, World Team reacted quickly to news of the tsunami that devastated Thailand earlier this year by creating a relief fund for many Thai citizens who survived the disaster. Skydivers Supporting Thailand (SST) solicited and received in excess of US$ 70,000 from the international skydiving community. 100% of these funds were used to build 18 houses and a fish farm that is being run as a collective by 32 stricken families. For more information on the SST fund, and photographs documenting these efforts, please see: www.thaiskyfestival.com. For additional information, please contact BJ or Bobbie Worth.
