I think you will have to buy new risers to get velcroless toggles. Not sure if a rigger could modify your current risers to accept velroless toggles.

The way the visor is held down with the Havok it would take some amazing speed to cause it come up. That isn't a worry at all. I sitfly and stand with it all of the time.

I am currently using a Bonehead Havok due to all of the reasons you have stated. I can't stand the over the glasses goggles or the perscripton goggles. It works great but looks ugly. If you are not bothered by the occaisonal funny looks and questions, then it will work great. I personally don't care too much what other skydivers think, but am not too happy about having it on while being video taped. It just doesn't look "Cool" Oh well. I am considering trying the perscription sports goggles for basketball under a Z1 maybe. The goggles are pretty cheap at Lenscrafters. I priced it out to be around $100 for my perscription.

I have been working on flaring exactly like you are saying and have found that spot where I get my Sabre2 150 to plane out so that I have to pick up my feet to miss the ground and skim a little and then at the last second flare harder and get the canopy to surge and pick me up and set me right on my feet so that I dont have to walk or run at all. That has been my perfect flare. It doesn't happen like that all of the time. Some times I wait too long and don't have enough speed to pop me up at the end.

1500 is my hard deck. If I don't have a controlable parachute or anything at all then I cutaway and go directly to silver. I don't have a Cypres so two out is pretty unlikely.

I have nuked this persons membership more than 8 times now... he keeps on coming back and registering under a new name. No problem tracking an killing his names... problem is every time I find out he has already done some damage by sending another spam. That sucks. Guess there isn't much else you can do but restict everyone. They are probably using proxy servers to hide ipaddress.

sounds good to me. I would warn this person and if they refused to stop spamming then I would revoke their membership. Free doesn't mean free to abuse

bought mine at around 24~25 jumps then at 64 jumps it got stolen and I saved up and bought a brand new rig

I cant help but wonder if she will ever jump and what kind of trouble she will be for the tandem master or Aff intructor's. I hope she gets video and records all of the questions she has and posts it on her website.

48-50 KB/s isnt bad but you should be able to get more then 3 times that fast on other servers like Download.com headdown.net isnt really fast compared to others

There is another thread along these same lines regarding the Sabre 2 in Gear and Rigging. I currently jump a Sabre 2 150 and have put about 150 jumps on it. I bought it new and have had no problems with it even under windy conditions and mild turbulance. I even flew it threw a dust devil ( not intentionally, as I didnt see it in time to avoid it.) and had half of the canopy collapse and reinflate. Landed with out any problems. I doubt that these incidents are because each were flying a Sabre 2

Flew it threw a dust devil and had half my canopy collapse and the reinflate quickly. It made it threw that with out any problem, scared the shit out of me though. Landed with out an problems.

I only have a few CReW jumps, but I just wanted to point out that CReW canopies dont just suck at terminal openings they also can do serious damage to anyone opening at terminal. Depending on if it is setup with a deployment bag or with out one.

FYI I have just called PD about these. I wanted to clarify what I had suspected that with the slink riser cover it is not possible to pull the slider past the slinks at all.

What can you do about that? nothing but, Hope the maker of that audio player puts out a new version that doesnt have that problem.

Well, they have all black colleges why cant we have all white colleges. I am hispanic geuss I will have to start an all hispanic college. I don't have a problem with people wanting to be seperate from others, as long as they dont bother me. I never went to my junior or senior prom.

Lots of people live like that. Most of them have been in that environment for generations and think its normal. Getting people to change is impossible. They can only change themselves with great self motiviation. Those that do realize that they don't want to live that way move out. But the area remains the same, because the people haven't changed.

Trigger you are lucky. I had that same thing happen to me. They even took my cordless phone and vacuum. And most importantly they took my beloved rig and gear bag with my log book in it. Words can't describe the frustration that I felt when I came home and found my rig gone. They could have all the rest of my stuff, but they had to take my rig. I hate theives. The best thing that can be done about this is to get renter's insurance or make sure it is covered under home owners insurance. Make sure they have all serial numbers and pictures. At least you will be able to get it replaced. I wish I had done that.

I didn't get the hip rings or the chest rings on my Odyssey. They are only for comfort and a little easier movement. Not a major difference.
