  1. Hey Sunshine you can clog up my shower drain any time
  2. I seriously doubt that person exists. It would be extremely unlikely that there is a congregation of Jehovah Witnesses that would accept behaviour like that. They are very strictly against homosexuality and would counsel someone on cleanliness if they never showered or bathed.
  3. [texas accent] Yeah He needs a Texas style lesson. gear theives is kinda like horse thieves [texas accent]
  4. YES absolutely they should be required for anyone over 60. Especially in Florida. I lived there for 5 years and can't count the number of accidents that I have seen or almost been involved in due to elderly drivers.
  5. It's not too diffucult to learn to weld. There are alot of people that can weld but not very many that can do a good job of it. Its something that takes a lot of practise to get good at. I took welding at a vocational school in High school. Thought I was going to be a welder, ended up as a Network Admin. I did like welding, just not as much as computers.
  6. Hmm if he did 7 jumps in AFF then he could do 13 jumps the next day and get qualified for A license.
  7. I don't think anyone could get qualified for their A license in a weekend. What has been the quickest that anyone has finished AFF? It took me awhile to get my AFF finished. A big part was the weather. I had the money saved up and could have paid the entire amount up front. I did my AFF on a small dropzone and they didn't have any coaching that I knew about. So the extent of training was AFF and some helpful pointers by the experienced jumpers.
  8. One of the new guys from corporate office is here this week from upstate New York. He heard from someone that I skydive so he came around asking questions. The first question he asked was if he could get through the training in a weekend? I told him it was possible but very diffucult. Has anyone actually done it in one weekend? By the way he was very serious. But I never count them till they actually make that first jump. Seen too many people that back out at the last second or just never really commit.
  9. Thats one reason why I prefer packing for myself. At least then I have only me to blame for screw ups.
  10. I called SD Dallas and the price is $79 for the balloon jumps.
  11. I plan on being there Friday and Sat Cant wait
  12. They had two of those at Chicagoland Skydiving while I was there. They are a lot of fun.
  13. Well I had planned on winning the lottery, buuuut it doesnt look like its going to happen. guess I wont make it
  14. Just voted It was still ahead. I hope it wins.
  15. "terrorist, guerrilla, freedom fighter and soldier" The truth the way I see it is that it all depends on which side you are on as to which description fits. The reason you are confused is because you think that the US should be morally correct. The US isn't and neither is any other country. The US people would like to think so, but it just isn't true. The US is doing just what any other country would do if they were in the same situation. Its called looking out for number one. I am US citizen born and raised here. I want the US gov to look out for our intrests and F@#k every one that is looking to destroy our way of life.
  16. I have to say I agree with you. They do have great customer service. The only thing I have had to do was have my mailing address changed and that was done very easily with a short phone call. They were very friendly and I didnt miss a single issue. I love my Skydiving mag.
  17. Te Tao Ching The Art of War - Sun Tzu got to have your Chinese philosophy
  18. Tragedy is not dying, its not living life to it's fullest. Everyone I know will die. So treat your loved ones as if they could die the next day. They could die any number of ways. It's a dangerous world out there. I skydive to enjoy life. It does add to the risk in my life, but I accept that. We can't be afraid to live our dreams.
  19. Yeah the temptation is there. The funeral home is in La Moille, IL which is not far from either Chicagoland or Skydive Chicago. Not sure if I will even get time to consider jumping or not. Thanks for the thoughts
  20. Not a good trip though. My Grand Father died last night and I am leaving tomorrow for the funeral on Sat. I will be there till Tues. This trip will really suck just venting I guess. I feel pretty bad that I even consider taking my rig with. What do you guys think?
  21. I was thinking the same thing when I saw that interview on TV. Very weird. I felt like slapping him and yelling talk normal damnit.
  22. Yeah I figured that out pretty quick when I went from an F111 PD 9cell to a Sabre 2. I had to totally change the way I flared. Now I do smooth flare down to just past my shoulders while maintaining level flight, at about that point I am planed out and have to pick up my feet to avoid hitting the ground and I let it surf for a few feet then finish the flare and it picks me up and sets me on my feet nice and soft. It doesn't always go that perfect, but that is what I aim for.
  23. "Strange properties include the fact that most new havok owners become gripped by an irresistible cultural compulsion to put it on look in a mirror and say "luke I am your father" in a deep metallic voice. " yes I will admit I did that
  24. buy a new one the trouble you would go through to make it quiet would not be worth it and probably would do much good.
