The point seems so mute. You are here in one piece posting about it. Man I commend you on your assessment of your situation. You made a plan, stuck with it and here you are. Very difficult for me to make a counter point considering your success/survival.

I remember reading the same thing. Maybe he meant that if you keep the slider down while packing, or of course with loose line stows, that a hard opening will ensue. I've only been "slammed" by my canopy, Falcon 265, a couple of times. Once, I deployed right out of a long track, my fault. On student status in '93, I jumped a 7-cell on Static Line and it slammed me. After that the instructor put me under a PD 300. Much better. I had a rigger sew a pocket onto my slider and it took out the initial shock, but snivelled a really long way. My hips are bad, so of course my next canopy will be a Spectre. I've never read or heard from anyone getting slammed from a Spectre. I have PD's packing video on my computer. I think that I would be wise to PRO pack it just like they recommend. I'll let you know whenever I get my new canopy and how it opens.

I am a Respiratory Therapist. Currently unemployed however I just finished Truck Driving School. Testing this Wed. for the Class "A" CDL. I'm going to be travelling like wolfriverjoe for CRST. I'll be out for at least three weeks at a time, accruing one and a half days for every week out. So I plan on staying out 6 weeks and having up to nine days off. Whenever I "Reset my Clock" OTR, I'll think I'll be jumping somewhere.

Nothing for me this time. I just want my kids to have a really nice Christmas.

My father used to say: "An empty can makes alot of noise." He grew up in a very rough neighborhood and had to defend himself (and his brothers) alot. He found out early on that a guy who talked tough wasn't that tough when it came down to throwing hands. You can tell when a person exudes confidence. Don't know if you ever met Chris Martin, but he reminded me very much of a man who is quietly confident.

I had one of those. It was white. Gave it to my In-Laws who live in Chicago. I drive an Arizona Beige Ford F-150 extended cab. That way the whole family rides comfortably.

Nataly, this is what I've noticed about you: Your comment about "Shroppy being alright is the most important thing." After his accident so revealed your essence. I mean it was just so very cute and so very sweet. I know that this movie quote I'm going to put down was out of "Spiderman." However, I think that when your man finds you, this is how he will describe you: (Toby McGuire: Spiderman asked me what MJ (Nataly) was like so I said "Spiderman, when you are looking into Nataly's eyes, and she is looking into your's, you feel weak, and you feel strong at the same time.
