My first tandem was around jump 200. I love doing front rides. Yes its scary. And I don't really like the plane ride. I keep trying to do my gear checks and have nothing to check. (So I do a ton on everyone else ) On one I even made him keep me hooked up by one connection for the plane ride. (Thanks ski!) But I still love it. It's a different experience completely imo and WAY scarier but that's part of the fun

Both are awesome in their own ways with their own awesome people. Which ever will be your home DZ should be the one you train at. If you're equidistant from both: Deland is more of a training dropzone IMHO but the locals still have a blast fun jumping. Sebastian has a great party atmosphere and killer freeflying and some of my favorite organizers. I suggest you go to both and see which vibe you prefer. They're both great just different.

haha yea I actually ended up helping my parents with their homework. Both of my parents went back to school while I was a kid. I would proofread their reports and everything. I remember one time my mom had to take me to one of her math classes after picking me up from some where. It was math for the medical professional or something like that. I was sitting in a room full of surgeons, doctors, and nurses who were struggling with basic algebra while I was doing my calculus homework

yup I'm a lot denser than I look so fall fast if I fly with the arch I prefer. I finally want a belly suit I dont need to flatten completely out to fly with. Even with searching as one word people seem to only like it with the nylon. Guess it must not make that much of a difference.

So after almost 5 years, I've finally decided to order my own custom RW suit. It's about time I want to get a Bev Suits hot bod suit. I live in Florida so I'm thinking about the Cool Max lining. I tried searching for reviews on it, but didn't really find much. Some people mentioned that it was good with the skin tight nylon, but I'm looking at getting supplex or possibly even poly cotton. So finally my question: Does anyone have the cool max with these fabrics? Does it actually make a difference if your suit isn't skin tight? Is it worth the extra cost?

We hang out during the day while jumping, they go do their thing at night (we might do dinner together) but then I stay and get shit faced and cause trouble Next morning we do our jumping thing together. Or they taunt me while I nurse my hangover The key to it is not judging. I don't make them do what I want; they don't make me do what they want. And we accept each others choices. That's the key. If you go around the next day saying what godless heathens we are and how stupid and disgusting how we want to play is, yea then you'll have a problem fitting in.

Yours is a much more extreme opinion - I don't agree with it. Those things are not the same - they're obviously all related and similar. I suppose "pretty much the same" could apply. I definitely don't agree that doing one skydive of a certain sort means that you've done everything there is to do, or that after an A licence there are no new challenges. Do you still skydive? Normally I love that phrase. It works so well in most cases. It doesn't work when you can hurt or possibly kill others like in this case though. Better to ask permission if you are going to possibly endanger others.

yea yea yea that's too much work. So it starts nov 1st. but to the op if you're coming in the 26th you'll hit the halloween party but will have to deal with a bit of days off. but there's plenty to do in Tampa

Considering people on here have 100's or 1000's of jumps we might be finding ways to make it fun. If it's not fun for you, just dont do it.

I actually got a notice on Skype that it was his birthday (including year). It's pretty easy to get lots of birthday wishes when you're fishing! Plus, since his age is on there, I guess we kind of feel like he needs a part with cake, funny hats, and a pony. ... but he's so old I'm afraid he's going to start molding soon... he wouldn't even come out with us last night to karaoke because it was "too late".

at that time of the year yes most likely. a lot of foreigners come in and Zhills flies every day during the winter (or Florida's version of it ). If it does slow down there's plenty of fun stuff to do in Tampa too.

Yes I have. As have plenty of others. but I don't like to. Mine has to go in the overhead and I was a nervous wreck worrying some enterprising soul would "helpfully" rearrange the over head to make room for their fat luggage by using those oh so convenient handles. So I prefer putting it in a rolling bag. Then joe schmoe can grab THOSE handles and not my precious rig.
