    Good deal?

When I said something about a rigger that must have been it. No response. Oh well.

    Good deal?

I asked once again to use a rigger or other qualified person as a "middleman" . Here is the latest reply after I asked about not using western union. Does seem to be a scam for sure now: I had some problems with paypal in the past and I don`t want to use it again. I worked with western union ay least 40 times before and never had any problems so I have all the reasons to stick to this method. If you feel more confortable I can accept to receive only 450 euros first and you will send the remaining 450 euros after you receive and verify the rig. Now I am waiting for your final decision because I have one more very interested client who already asked for my adress to make the payment and I told him to wait until tomorrow because you were the first one who was interested so you have a small priority. Ciao Luciano

    Good deal?

I got his reply which does make me hesitant. Seems to really know the western union process. I told him I would like it sent to a rigger or I pay through another means where I would have recourse. Here is the latest email: The fedex taxes from Italy to the USA should be somewhere around 150 USD and the western union taxes should be maximum 100 USD. And like I said before I will pay the taxes from fedex and you will pay the western union taxes. If you never used westerm union money transfer before you can find one in almost any bank so I am sure you won`t have a problem. All you need to make the payment is an id and the 950 euros (1400 USD). They will give you a 10 digit number called MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) after you make the payment. As soon as you email me that mtcn number I will go to fedex and send you the rig. Through fedex the rig should arrive in the US in about 3-4 working days. So email me a final decision please so I can know what to tell to my other clients if the rig is sold or not. If you decide to buy it then email me your name and adress so I can know where to send it and I will email you my adress for the payment. I hope we will do business together

    Good deal?

The ad has been pulled down now it seems. Here is a copy of the first email I got: Hi, The rig is made to fit any person from 5'7" to 6'3". I am 5'11" and 190 lbs and the rig fits me great. What size are you ? And do you want to see more pictures ? Regarding the shipping I can send the rig to the USA, no problem. I will pay the shipping taxes and you will pay the taxes from the payment. Of course, all of this are available only if you decide to buy the rig. So email me if you are interested Ciao Luciano

    Good deal?

No, lol. I know all about those kind of scams. I don't think it is a scam to be honest. I was just wondering if anyone else thought it was a good deal. They don't want me to do anything that seems unusual.

    Good deal?

Found a rig. It is a javelin dom around 01. Has a cypress with five years left and all maint. has been done. Has a sabre 210 and a tempo 210. Reserve has no rides and main has about 200. Container has 350 jumps. Looks great in pics. It is overseas though but member has been on here a couple years. Price for me would be about $1500. It sounds like a good deal, What do you guys think?

    Vector II

I do a lot of internet shopping so I am. He has responded to emails and sent a lot of pics.

    Vector II

This is the rig in question. What do you guys think? Canopies are a bit old but have few jumps. Not sure how being stored for that long will affect them. I have a Vector 2 v8 container size MLW 17" 1-20-92 with BOC for sale. I has a PD 230 main w / crew lines Oct 90, and a PDR 218, 8/90 with only 5 pack jobs. The rig has about 40 some jumps on it, and has not been jumped since 99. It's in perfect condition. A rigger did a complete inspection and repack of both chutes. Buyer pays shipping

    Vector II

Well I am a beginner and the rig comes with a 230 main which is what I have been looking for. I have some back issues so need something slow that will be less likely to pound me into the ground. I will probably not be able to downsize on this rig but by the time I do that I will get new gear.

    Vector II

I am looking for first gear. Found a vector II with very low jumps It is a V8 with a MLW of 17". I cannot find anywhere where it says what the rig should fit body wise. I am 5' 10" and 175 w/ahthletic build.. I know some will say not to get a vector II but for me I don't always need the latest and greatest. As long as it works for me that is ok. Leaves me more money for an AAD. Does anyone know if that size rig will fit my frame? Thanks.
  11. Probably the same people who can't go anywhere without the stupid thing stuck in their ear.
  12. I am getting back into it after 8 years. My license had expired but I was able to renew it no problem. I have to do some ground training and then a check jump and I am good to go.
  13. I saw it for sale but that was my only issue with it. I did not buy it.
  14. Never thought it would be an issue. Has pink all over it.
  15. Is it possible to dye parts of a container to change the color? If so how could one go about it?
  16. You think that hurt try a T10 harness.
  17. Thanks everyone. You're right about the zero p's being available readily. I was looking at a rig for sale with a F111 canopy is why I asked.
  18. I got out in 04 and of course this was before the new T 11. My little brother however is in right now and his unit has been testing it. To me it looks a bit silly. My brother reports that they hit just as hard as they did with the T10's. So no real improvement he says. The reserves are nice though and I am sure there is an improvement there.
  19. Been looking to get gear. I am a low time jumper so I am looking at something used and something big and slow. I found an F111 canopy with 300 jumps. About how many jumps can you get out of that fabric safely? Thanks.
  20. I have been out of the sport for about 8 years. For a long time I have had lower back issues. Recently I have started having them looked at. I got an X ray which came back fine and will soon be getting an MRI. Just so happens I want to pick up the sport again right now during all this. I was in the 82nd airborne for 7 years so I know what hard landings are like! Those jumps are probably what caused the back issues in the first place. My wife is against me picking up diving again until I get the MRI. The back is bothersome and can bother me quite a bit but is more of an annoyance to me. It really bothers me after doing a lot of bending over like what I would do while detailing a car. I have tried to assure my wife that skydiving landings are generally much different than those hard landings I took in the military and if there is one thing I know hwo to do and do well is a PLF. Any advice? Thanks.

    Goggles

I was checking out the SportRX and they appear to fit the bill. My eyes are not that bad however for long distance I do need glasses. I understand most people prefer clear goggeles but I would have to get a slight tint due to how light sensitive my eyes are. Thanks.

    Goggles

Is it possible to get goggles with prescription lenses in them? Nothing I hate more than over the glasses goggles. I would like if possible a pair of tinted prescription lenses in a pair of goggles. Thanks.
  23. I've been to altitude. I got out of the sport very soon after getting my A license. Wish I had picked things up much sooner.
