Got the A! defiantly in now!

Ill post back with more info on it later, but a few of the civics have sending units that stick. basically there is a potentiometer in the sending unit (at the fuel tank) and for some reason it wont read above 3/4 of a tank (which i think is about 3.5 volts to the gauge) Personally i wouldnt worry about it, keep track of how much gas is in the car, and assuming it works properly (most do) below 3/4 a tank, id just run with it. another thing as said before, dont fill your tank up so full, just let it click and then hang it up. common problem. i cant tell you how many evap leaks i've chased because of people filling there cars up until its pouring out. get the canister apart and find a gallon of 93. let me know if you have any more questions, im fairly familiar with honda/acura products :D also i can try to find a price for ya if need be.

Heading to new orleans to visit my mom this weekend. Plans are to finish up my A thursday in raeford, then i fly out late that night from RDU. Skipping the boring family stuff, i plan on getting some jumps in at Gold Coast Saturday seeing its all of 20 minutes from my moms house. Anywho, to anyone there look for me or shoot me a PM! -K

:(:7:1 got 7 jumps in Sunday. PERFECT day, got backed up pretty good about lunch time. heard something that made me laugh pretty good. "nothing says Otter like 17 people in a Pac" Also figured out that when you got a full load on a Porter and your the last one out after a 6 way, when they jump, hold the fuck on!!! bout fell outa the damn plane. first hop and pop Great day! only 5 more till my A!

im a car nut. well... a speed nut. so yea... i guess in a way, haha

police car? god knows how many times. Arrested twice. once was for assault. He swung first, i ducked and returned the favor... and then went home to rail his girl friend.... AGAIN. (you fill in the blanks as to the origin of the "altercation" His mommy called the cops the next day when he came home with a broken face. few hours in the slammer, some comunity service and a fine all was good Next was a good one. Felony speeding to elude, failure to heed for blue lights and sirens, careless and wreckless, speeding in excess of 100mph in a 35 zone, ect.... That's what you get with me + open road + 05 R1 and unfamiliar area and a roadblock followed by a dead end road. sentence with those charges were automatic loss of drivers license for 3 years, and up to 6 months active time. i was dumb. yak yak. Thats why i dont have skooters no more. a good lawyer, around $12,000 dollars, and 24 hours of community service and good behavior some how just made it disappear :D i smarter now :D this was actually the reason i started jumping, needed the rush. Now i wouldn't trade it back for anything.

im 6'1, 170ish and have 12ish feet. i ride a Burton King 160cm. id go to a gear shop and get a gift card. let him pick it out, i also ride a wide board just because i prefur it. I ride east coast so its alot of ice, as out west tends to have more powder. I can use a standard width, but i do alot of carving and for some reason it seems to work better for me. Bindings are best to definatly have him there for, unless you steal his boots. haha.

:2:0 damn the wind... again. got 2 in back to back at like 5:30. i was truckin to make the next load. Good thing it wasnt hot and the last load of the day (just grabbed a differnt rig after dumpin mine to get packed.) good day tho, got alot of chat time with old timers.

Well, i'm still new, but i will tell you that you made the right decision. Im sure your instructor felt the same way. As far as the confidence goes, id suggest trying to get there earlier in the day, and just chill. Watch some others jump. Relax. if the day goes on and you feel like jumping id go for it, in good daylight. if it still doesnt feel right, do just as you did. ride it down. Ive done a good bit of tunnel time, and it does help build confidence, but to me it was more of a free fall confidence, which from what it sounds like doesn't seem to be your problem. Seems like your fear is of the whole thing. My best suggestion for that would to be to talk to someone you trust at your DZ, tell them the while story, and they should be able to help.

:2:2 Got two in finally after arriving at the "dragon" a little before 8 this morning hoping to get some solid jumps in. Wind sock was standing straight as an arrow. so we were on a student hold until probley 4:00 this afternoon (damn the waiting) but i got 2 very good jumps in before sunset. still windy as hell in the uppers, was getting NO penetration with my HUGE Nav. canopy. could have hit near the peas the first jump but played it safe and landed near the runway instead. Had my first "relatively" wind jump today. was a good learning experience. didnt land out... so it was a good day. Also saw 2 tandems Yaking there guts out on the ground for the first time

Jesus LSU got a whoopin, I pull for them all year (moms family are all HUGE LSU fans) but damn they got there tails spanked. Im still stoked over UNC somehow holding notre dame off, i swear thats the closest ive ever been to saying that officials were trying to throw a game.

I'll second you on that. I've never found her to be very attractive. Saying she's No. 1 hottie is one of those things people do to let people know they agree with the crowd. Hottie (most attractive) no, but for some reason sexiest i think yes. just a personal opinion. i misunderstood the topic of this thread
