The LED on the back by the display is right on the edge of the cutout on the back for the display, so it can still be seen in this case.

I just wanted to share a case that I have been working on. I had a few people ask me to come up with a frame for the Gopro 5/6/7 Black that you could access the card and not have to take the camera out of the case or off your helmet. I think the ideal setup is for people that have the DSLR on top, and GoPro front mounted, but the case can be used either way. I jump the lens protector, because you can't replace the lens on the Sony like you can on a GoPro. I do use the leash to keep the protector on, though I think it would stay on fine without it. I just tape the leash to the camera.

I have not added this feature, but it would be easy to cut out some of the adhesive tape on the bottom, and put a strap through prior to attaching the mount to your helmet. If I can find some I will include the strap and leave it to the user as an option.

They will be listed for $55. Still working on pricing if you buy multiple. I have not put my hands on the HDR-AS300, but the mounting on the bottom looks identical so I would say yes.

The camera is attached using the 1/4-20 screw that the camera has.

I have been a fan of the Sony X3000, but annoyed with the mounting options. I came up with a flat lock that isn't much bigger than the camera. There will be 2 options for the base, which is the piece that gets attached to the helmet. Flat or curved. I attached pictures of the mount on a Cookie G3, but also a picture of the flat mount. This will be attached via 3M VHB tape. The piece that attaches to the camera via the bolt, has a cutout so you can access your card. There is also a piece for the anti rotation hole in the bottom of the camera. I am getting ready to get these made, just trying to see interest and get some feedback from people. I have been using the NEX-3N for tandem stills and some fun jumping. I currently use the standard 16-50mm lens. I am thinking about getting the Rokinon 8mm Fish eye lens.
