  1. If everyone took a few brief moments and visit the City of Pitt Meadows facebook page to either comment on the current thread or to make a comment on their page, it would demonstrate to the city that skydivers are a united bunch. http://facebook.com/pittmeadows and/or email the mayor at [email protected] and cc the city council at [email protected] Please be courteous in your emails and postings, but anything would help. Suggestions (please modify wording if you want): - Very disappointed in the mayor and councils of both cities for their lack of action regarding YPK management's poor business practices against Pacific Skydivers. - The unfair price increase by the airport is detrimental to our sport and you should step in to help. News Story http://www.mapleridgenews.com/news/188290211.html thanks for taking a few moments in your day to help David Hodge President | Eastern Regional Director Canadian Sport Parachuting Association
  2. Skydive Moncton has a new location for 2011, little further north, but nice and quiet that will be great for parties. The views are some of the best I have seen.
  3. the thought had crossed my mind as well. However this would not stop someone from being able to use the online lookup feature to verify the info on the card as being true. the logo/picture box is a cool idea to be considered. Plans change and custom backgrounds are still more then a year away if not longer as there are other considerations. consider it a wish list. thanks for the feedback David Hodge President | Eastern Regional Director Canadian Sport Parachuting Association
  4. full replacement. David Hodge President | Eastern Regional Director Canadian Sport Parachuting Association
  5. I have yet to see a negative comment on the cards as yet... just waiting of course for the first
  6. The new CSPA member/CoP/ratings card is almost available to the general membership. Some were able to get one at the 2011 AGM in Moncton NB this past weekend and all other members will start receiving them as they renew. All who have renewed in the past few days will get the new card as well so no need to wait for your renewal just to get the new plastic card. For those renewing early, example your membership expires in June 2011, you can renew now and you will get a new card that will be good until June 2012. Those not wanting to renew early can order a “replacement” card for the normal fee of $15 though http://www.cspa.ca/newcard The card layout can be seen on the attached picture showing where the information can be found for CoP and ratings as this will replace all existing CSPA cards. The card is the same size and quality as a credit card with rounded corners and the first batch we opted to have a picture of Canada's Team Evolution. Next batch? who knows, with more time we will likely hold a vote for the favorite. David Hodge President | Eastern Regional Director Canadian Sport Parachuting Association

This was my very first altimeter and wow, for the extra bit of money it was well worth it compared to a non digital type. face is perfect size and with it fitting nicely on an angle on my hand it makes it all the easier to read without tilting my hands. once you get used to navigating the display on the backside, the information this thing provides is amazing to say the least and I use the replay feature to give non skydiving friends a sense of the speed and timing. all in all, I will buy again. hopefully the software will get better so I can take advantage of that too.
