  1. Maybe, but healthy dogs do it, too. If the dog is otherwise acting OK, and only throws up a little white stuff with grass, soon after eating the grass, it may be nothing. Maybe she likes the taste of the fresh new grass of spring. Let us know what the vet says. I saw the following comment after posting the above: That's more reason to worry than eating a little grass, which is pretty common for healthy dogs.
  2. Good plan! I hope he gets to live the rest of his life to the fullest!
  3. OK - I'll give that a try. I had been trying it with an open face helmet.
  4. Thanks! Where and how do you attach it?
  5. not too stiff, or it will raise a fuzzy surface (not that I would know from personal experience)
  6. I'd be interested in that link. (although I may not need it while jumping my Spectre)
  7. I'm really sorry to hear about Tucker. If he's anything like my shepherd (still alive), he probably died protecting your property. Their best qualities (protective & loyal) can be their downfall. Heaven wouldn't be much of a place, if your best friends couldn't join you there.
  8. Gotta put in another good word for Mick at SDU. And I'd recommend getting the same coach for tunnel and jumps, if you're doing both.
  9. Look/search for current, currency or recurrency. There are different requirements to stay "current" for each license/experience level. If you go too long without jumping, you generally need some refresher training to continue.
  10. ?? Don't list on dz.com, or don't visit this dz? Care to elaborate?
  11. Thanks. FWIW - I'm only having trouble searching the forums, but not other sections. (no problem searching safety, gear, classified, etc.)
  12. Hey - Get listed in the dz.com dropzone locator! I would have stopped by when I recently visited Texas, if I had known where you are. Do you have a website, or any other dz info?
  13. Thanks very much! You've answered many of my questions - even some I hadn't asked! It will all be helpful. But even if it's a fresh new butt plug, let's keep that part a secret. I did email skysystems, but was afraid they'd be closed for the holidays. They were nice enough to reply today, but addressed more general size questions, and skipped over mouth/chin/nose fit. If anyone has something to add, I'm still listening. And later, I may say something about my own experience with it. (for anyone who needs the info, and finds this via search)
  14. I appreciate that, but I've seen the charts. They don't seem to address anything but head circumference. I'm now more interested in fit of the "face" part of the full face helmet, which I've never dealt with before.
  15. OK, I'll ask this way- For best fogging prevention and comfort, how should the mouth and nose fit in the helmet? Should the lips be against the padding when relaxed, or can there be a space? I assume the nostrils are open to the air under the visor. Does it matter if the nose is well above, or pressed a little by the padding above the mouth? If you want to add something about how much I should be able to wiggle the helmet on my head, or anything else about comfort/fit, feel free. The L and XL seem to fit just the same around my head, just different around the mouth and nose. Thanks for any tips.
  16. Any Factory Diver helmet owners out there who can describe what a proper fit is like? In particular, how should the chin/mouth piece fit and feel? (where snug, touching/not touching, level of mouth/nose, etc.) Are any clear close up photos available? I'm trying to choose between 2 sizes - definitely different, but without a clear winner. I know how to tighten the velcro strap, so that's not the question.
  17. Anything extra between the magnets would make them open more easily than they're designed to.
  18. What are the differences between the 2 cards? I've only seen the one included with the SIM. Where can the other be found? Thanks!
  19. I checked with UPT before buying a Vector II V2-2, and was told it would hold a typical 170 - 190 main. (before I knew how to find and read a packing volume chart) BTW, they said a PD160 reserve would fit well, but 176 would be "tight". Don't just take my word for it though. Call UPT (very helpful people), or check their website.
  20. I'm sure you're right. They don't seem to have followed any of the advice given here. A Sabre 170 was just posted. Good luck.
  21. My tip: Please remove ads and/or respond to purchase offers if the gear is no longer for sale. Most people have been courteous enough to do this. This person posted separate ads on 9/10 for reserve, main, altimeter, and helmet, but has not logged in since then (now 9/15). No email address or other contact method was given. I offered to buy the reserve hours after it was posted, and was interested in the main, too. While waiting for a response, I lost out on a good deal for a complete rig.
  22. I really appreciate the reassurance. Being uncertain about the limits & safety of my equipment would have been a real drag. I can postpone real freeflying 'til I find an appropriate container, but I can't put off having a little fun.
