yes, I understand that, but as a fun jumper, I am never jumping there again.

I tried to support the now owners of lake wales, but there intentions were different than what they said. Lake wales new owners do not want the fun jumper base, all they want is to make money with tandems. They do not have the customers to make it a tandem factory, and do not like fun jumpers. Jumpers have no place to stay either if they need to. The buck house that was there is no longer available. They made some treated staff members wrongly and made some bad choices. Saying these things, I see Lake Wales drop zone closing by the end of 2009. Since they own titusville, I do not think they want to compete with themselves, so it would be easier to buy Lake Wales, then close it, just to build up their other drop zone's. Yes they also own Skydive Jacksonville, and Skydive Monterey Bay in Cal.

I do not suggest this to be a good place to jump. I do not think this place will be open much longer. The new owners have told most of the fun jumpers to go jump somewhere. They only focus on tandems, and they do not have many of those. They close the doors when they are finished with the tandems, and that usually only take two loads, so they are finished before 11 am or earlier. So if you are planning on trying out this place, don't waste your time.

Lake Wales is still fun jumper friendly. I am staff there and we would love to have many fun jumpers. our king air goes to 15000 feet every load in 8 minutes for only $25, we also go to 18000' for only $27. We will be getting a king air 200 soon, it holds 22 people. right now we only have staff to take 4 tandems at a time, so that leaves plenty of room for fun jumpers, so spread the word, come jump. We start at 9am
