    >Amazing, isn't it, that when a news anchor (Brian Williams) was caught in a lie he

    >Carson is caught in a lie and people are defending him with weasel-words.

Well, he is a politician. It's sort of expected.

Can we go back to the Egyptian grain silos?

    .....
if the boogie is not going to happen, would you recommend any dropzone to go in february?

Some dude is doing something on Costa Rica in Feb. I dunno if I'd trust him: he's a LA Kings fan. ;)

(Grimmie is the one organizing it :)https://www.facebook.com/events/508806285945886/)

In the US, the Pilot in Command has the ultimate legal authority:
"§ 91.3 Responsibility and authority of the pilot in command.
    (a) The pilot in command of an aircraft is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft." Likely similar PIC authority in most, if not all, other countries.
Time permitting, you could respectfully ask for the captain's permission to carry your rig in the cabin. (Expect additional x-ray, "sniffer" and/or visual inspections.) Don't expect security personnel to know all the rules.
    :)

Don't expect the PIC to know all the rules and details around rigs either. Also, if you go that route, and the PIC says no, you have no recourse. That's it.

Also, we should all be thankful of the work done by Airtec, AAD, and various skydiving associations that allows us to carry on rigs. Before anyone else complains about TSA types reacting to what's in the cutter, you should educate yourselves as to what goes in there... Hint: it ain't levers and pulleys.

The Rockies are secondary background entertainment at Coors Field. The food, drink, atmosphere, and Dinger are primary. The Rox are AAA grade at best and don't deserve the ballpark they play in. I used to get upset at people like that who went to the game and weren't engaged, because I was the guy who had season tickets and kept score and stuck by them until the Montforts ruined the franchise piece by piece.

To hell with the Rockies. They are in the same category as my ex-girlfriend. I hope they slowly and painfully disintegrate into oblivion after breaking my heart so many times. To hell with them all.

Nice rant. This was in Phoenix.

  5. Skydive Arizona would also be a good option.

There are several brits flying direct to Phoenix. Weather is never guaranteed anywhere, but, you have a better chance of getting straight jumping days one after another there.

Bunkhouse on the DZ is cheap. Team rooms are less cheap but roomy.

You can get ticket blocks for cheaper prices.

The xmas boogie has reduced price tickets too, tho I wouldn't necessarily recommend someone who just finished their A license to go to one of the US busiest boogies.

The Skyventure tunnel onsite is one of the cheapest in the US.

You can get a shuttle from the airport and never leave ;-)

***The Mother Of All Boogies is ON! Check out our new website for more information. www.motherofallboogies.com

We have 2 Twin Otters from Skydive Arizona CONFIRMED for the boogie this year as well as 3 Cessna 182's for remote, off-site skydives.

4 full days of skydiving over the beautiful red rocks and canyons in Moab, Utah!

No Caveman Ranch? That place is awesome.

Moab, in itself, is absolutely gorgeous. If you can stay at the Lazy Lizard Hostel in a private cabin for about $35.

We've been doing 2 otter loads a day at sunset into Sorel Ranch this year. Its breathtaking.

Don't have a dog in this fight on the non compete but I saw a video on Facebook of a kid I know doing a tandem out there this summer.

Perfectly clear day with no clouds and they got out of the plane at 8,100 feet. Granted the video intro says they only go to 10k but the alti shot in the door says 8k. Looks like its a smooth way to make cash of newbies for not much of a skydive.

I have even less of a dog in the fight (well, maybe lol.. all I know is I know nothing about the details or the people involved), but ATC restrictions happen. I'd bet that on Long Island, it would not be uncommon.

Don't get your gear advice from the internet. There is a lot of mis-information here. Talk to your instructors and local riggers.

    Cheers!

    That.
