Getting a PE certification is more important in some engineering disciplines then it is in others... Civil Engineering is one of the disciplines that it is very important... I've also found that Mechanical Engineers can find some use in it. I'm a Materials Engineer and although I took the EIT (Engineer In Training) exam (the precursor to getting a PE) I haven't (and probably won't) persue completing my PE. especially since I don't do a whole lot of actual engineering any more... I got my Ing accreditation in Quebec when after my 2 years as a Junior, but never bothered to get it anywhere else I lived. Since I'm in sales now, no real reason. Remster

Unless it works to dilute the talent to the point that no one completes anything... We're out of play due to financial / time constraints, but if we weren't we probably would have to pick just 1. And as you said, most people would probably have to do the same too. Remster
