Hey, I have 57 belly jumps in 10 years, thankyouverymuch. :P

I can vouch for one of them! Did a 6-point 3-way with skymama for my A license jump, #25, just a couple of months ago. What a great way to enter the licensed skydiver ranks! Thanks skymama!! B|

    Got any photos!!?? ;)

Wasn't she in the one of several of the Moderators that made it into Parachutist? Big round shot by McGowan?;)

but always look forward to those stops in Germany when I can get a nice hefeweizen!

You can buy good hefe's here in the states too!:P

My first experience with "micro" brews was at a white stripes concert at Redrock. The NB sunshine wheat was the best beer i had ever had in my life at that time. The same night i had a Boulder Hazed and Infuzed. It was a long time before i tried anything that was even mildly described as hoppy after that.:D Not even pale ale's. Now, i don't mind the occasional IPA, Hazed and infuzed, NB Ranger, etc. but i still don't prefer them.
    Favorites: (in no particular order)
    Avery White Rascal
    Victory Golden Monkey
    Pirat
    Duvel
    Harp Lager
    Bass Ale
    Pacifico
    NBB Sunshine Wheat
    NBB Skinny Dip
    NBB Trippel
    NBB Mothership Wit

Bones...... well done sir and to all of the other "skygods" as well. cheers!

and Skygodesses!:$ Don't know Carrie or Penelope, but Shannon is most def. a goddess!:)
Bones, nice work you and the other organizers should be proud along with all the participants. There were a few faces in those pics i haven't seen in a long time and a few that I remember when they started jumping, awesome to see their progress:)

  6. You need something to break up the oil on your skin that is causing the itching/rash. It can stay on clothes, bedding, hands, etc and active for up to a year!

    Try these:
    Tecnu Skin Wash

    Cortaid

    Buji Wash

The last one came highly recommended to me by a friend that has used it several times. I keep some of the wipes in my backpack when camping/hiking.:)

I was one of the lucky ones, but he was so fat I couldn't fruit loop him.

  9. Not really but the dispatching software we use only works with windows mobile. These phones do all our invoicing and data entry into our database from the field so i needed one that would communicate and the TP2 was the best one out at the time. I don't like using windows anything really, but here at work it is all i have. At home is all Mac.:)

  10. I have an iphone but we use HTC touch pro2's here at work for all our service techs. What Dom said regarding the multiple apps open is true, battery life and slow down are terrible. Once you know that, it is easy to work around though. I actually like the phone itself and it is pretty hardy, i have 14 A/C techs carrying and using them everyday in S. TX:)

I stay off my phone regardless of where i am after working hours.:P unfortunately that is usually only 11:00 pm-6:00am during the summer

My new 2010 VW Jetta Sportwagon has the bluetooth hands free thing built in. Look into it, you'll need one soon. ;)

I already drive a suburban!:P And Kim has a mopar powered four door as well;)

  13. I have an iPhone and i want something to leave in the truck to talk on when i am driving/in the truck. I don't want something hardwired or permanently mounted, bluetooth would be ideal and not some kind of headset/earphone thing, they bother the crap out of me. Anyone know of such a device?:)

  14. disclaimer first: I have not nor will i ever make the transition from desk jockey to dz bum.:)
Several well known jumpers have done it Jonathan Tagle comes to mind first. Have some savings, be debt free, have no attachments, and have an exit plan. You should probably already be making some decent side money at the dz or have an opportunity to do so. Have fun and enjoy the ride!:)

What's with the 100 jump minimum? I've never hit anyone landing . . . but I've definitely gotten hit by an experienced jumper with a lot more than 100 jumps!

You probably got in their way:P;)

It is an unforgiving place, extremely high density altitude during the event, questionable winds, lots of dust devils, chemically altered spectators on the ground who are more than unpredictable, and most importantly, Because Burke said so!:D

I do. I have been doing it for over 30 years. There are a lot of good reasons for wearing it in the front. One of the top ones is to prevent irritating a large nerve in your leg.

I've always carried my wallet in my front pocket ever since some dip shit tried to pick pocket me. He paid the price with a broken wrist.

    Fiesta? :D
