  1. I rest my case 10 years now... proven technology. way to go Bill !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  2. I thought Nagambie and Bridgewater in Vic Australia went pretty close. Turbine planes. good people good vibes. Politics yeah the ones I created anyway (LOL) Beer for those inclined to partake. large landing areas. what more in a DZ could you possibly want. except closer location. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  3. My rig has a new skyhookinit,... AND nowI lay awake nights THINKING,...thatIf everI pullmy reserveI have a piece of "new Tech" thatin orderto savemy ass,it hasto release??? (For the reserve pilot chuteto fully deploy) I gave my lifeto Bill B. and John S. a long time ago, about the only thing these two agree uponis that a RSLis a goodidea. AndI trust them! And bearin mind a guy with 66 jumps on student statusis probably not the best source ofinformation! Good on you Nigel. I trust what Bill Booth says and I have personally corresponded with him a few times. Supporting the new technology was the beginning of the end of my career at a drop zone I loved (other factors of course) 30 years ago I copped heaps by supporting the coming aads... (no internet of course then) Now aads are common place MARDS will be on most rigs quite soon. I was right 30 years ago and I am right now !!howeverI am long retired from jumping so why should I care.. but infact I do care and wish you all safe jumping. Now as the priest said to grass hopper.. after he grabbed the pebble from his hand. "Time for to leave.. so I leave. I can only take so much abuse or emails I stand by my opinions ! Bye !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  4. Standard RSLs are old technology get a skyhook RSL or at least research it. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  5. Hey nigel I was actually agreeing that the cost structures are different in Australia Poor me my arse ! I did the jumps I wanted to do and anytime I like can go to a tandem factory and jump.. So I did not conform to the skydive community norm..(tough) I am not sorry and do not feel sorry for myself. I actually like the vast majority of jumpers I met For better or worse I did it my way. NOW CAN SOMEONE DELETE MY BLOODY ACCOUNT I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  6. yeah I could go away but I wont (thats what you expect me to do) and do not take the lords name in vain I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  7. Be careful Milehigheric mentioning prices in Australia. I burned by jumping career in Aust by mentioning price here.(among other things. Cost structures are different in Aus. as well as wages higher... GST etc. as well as a lot less jumpers. I see you do not identify yourself on post and prob good ideal to keep it that way. Drop zones in Aus are not plentiful (esp the turbine ones) and believe me they do not forgive or forget !! I learnt the hard way !! 8. Yep sucks out loud !! i THINK I WOULD LOOK FOR ANOTHER DROP ZONE. I did AFF at a busy drop zone (nagambie Australia ) at easter time. ( EASTER SUNDAY 2010) lots of tandems THAT DAY OF COURSE but the manifest also made sure the Affers were catered for as well. To this day I still do not know how Louise did it but she did. (BUSY BUSY DAY) Thanks Louise and Don I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  9. Yes did 10 tandems with WOKKA (warren) at skydive nagambie in Australia. Good good days !!! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??

  11. and you can still walk into places like disneyland with just a bag search any wacko could take 5 guns in strapped to them. I was there recently !! as I had no bag just walked in. Wonder how many folks I passed carry guns !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??

  13. Don has accepted my apology but does not want any more contact. Fair enough. Now folks who have been emailing me about the result know the ending. I am off to Gold coast Skydive or Skydive Euroa or others places where I can be mr Annon. Glad this is finally over. Cya to all "my fans" I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??

  15. My first and pop was from 2500 feet on my 6 jump. All 5 previous static line. I found it easy. Just arch pull nothing difficult its all in the mind (fear of unknown) Anyway you will be higher than 2500 feet. You will say to yourself afterwards "that was a piece of piss " (Australian slang) for easy. Onya mate !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  16. Howdy mate ! you are in for the ride of your life.. enjoy !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  17. You could be a at your DZ and some wacko gets banned from AFF goes to his vehicle and gets out an assault rifle and lets rip or you go to a theme park and some wacko does not like standing in line. produces a handgun. Or after minor traffic acccident etc or sitting in a mc Donalds etc etc. If every one is armed as seems to be the case. it must be a worry. Yeah we have some gun crime here but rare in comparison with the USA. Certainly not assault rifle stuff.(banned many years ago) I suppose you folk just live with it and put it out of your mind as "a risk of life" I can see the other point of view. I carry a handgun at work to protect Govt builings etc but I am not allowed to take it home or own another one for personal protection. If Off duty Police here carried weapons they could get involved in crime matters Off Duty but here its strictly forbidden. A real dilema some say if teachers were armed they could stop School shootings whose knows.. very difficult.. both sides provide strong argument for and against. After 11 years in Policing 2 yrs in prisons and 16 years PSO ing govt buildings I still do not know the answer. I am just very sad at another school shooting. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  18. Cant you at least ban civilans from having miltary rifles. The USA will never ban handguns etc but M16s etc should be off the menu. Side note I was amazed that at Disneyland no weapon search at entry just a feeeble bag search. I could ahve been carrying 6 handguns strapped to my body I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  19. NOT AGAIN !!! Do something for heavens sake. This cannot go on !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  20. ) Farting. I try my best to keep 'em in, because what I got brewing up down there has qualified as 'biological warfare' for the last 4 or 5 years, but man, someone dropped one in the otter a couple months ago that nearly made me hurl. An instructor 3 seats back was like "Open the door! OPEN THE DOOR!" I will own up!! nearly bought the turbine plane down at Nagambie Victoria Australia (sorry Don)at least 2 times with my toxic ones. Almost every load I have been on (and I have only done 66 jumps ) someone lets one go !! My worst was my first jump back in 1981 in a small cessna. Dunno how the plane kept flying !!! I must have issues i still laugh to myself about it ? Yes I owned up as their was only the pilot me and Swannland the jumpmaster left on board.(static line jump) Can still see Swannland face holding his nose going AAAAHHHH!!!! Merry Xmas to all (54 yrs old and still laughing about farts. says it all really !!) I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  21. well done that man !! Keep doing what you are doing !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  22. 1. Just wanted to try something diferent. Overcome fear was part of it. 2. I found it addictive so I suppose adrenaline did play a part (been over 1 year since I jumped) 3. I did not really push skills to limit just alot of tandems and 5 AFFS. Found doing those sufficent to keep my happy. flying own canopy was fun.. tandems became a bit lame after 20.. but after 12 months would be good to do again. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  23. I was on the road for 12 years in the job (Police) if a driver failed the "attitude test " they got a ticket... always !! Polite hardly ever !! unless a special crackdown or special effort like easter road toll blitz. Or if was squeak I pulled over.. instant ticket !! (only joking squeak) I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
