Hi, I just got a 27" RPC, 1972 in great shape. It has a sleeve, I am looking for a bag or POD for it. Any ideas? I used to jump one with a POD 1973-5, no problems. Also any ideas where I can get pack opening bands for the Pioneer 3 pin it came with? Thanks, Van

T10 in 83? wow, I had a square reserve by 1980 3 yrs earlier. 5 decades for me. 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. 28' telsan tern when I started in 1973. Wow I am old, but at least I was only 16 when I started.

I used to tight spiral all the way down with full opposite rudder to create the most form/parasitic drag possible. Would drop like a rock while keeping the airspeed low.

Years ago, early 70s, Sha-Wan-Ga NY DZ, Hudson Valley Skydivers C-182 had a Kicker Plate instead of a handle on the inside, worked great. Convex side facing interior.

Your not being anal at all. 35 years ago my brother, myself and 2 of my friends from the Marines entered a 4 way Comp at Ellington Conn. You had to have a C license or at least 100 jumps. my friend Tom had 93, so we penned in another 10. I had the most experience at 600 jumps so I was the team Capt. It was wicked windy, I was spotting, took it really long. Got out, dive went ok, at break off I saw we were still really far out so I opened as soon as I could. I was the high guy and the only one to make it back to the DZ. We were all ok except for Tom, he landed behind a barn and slammed in breaking his back. To this day he is mostly paralyzed from the waist down. He never blamed me, but I sure did. Would another 10 jumps have changed things? I don't know. But I do know I would give anything for a second chance. And to show that God has a sense of humor, our team name was "Special Olympics"

Today at the Drs. waiting room I started leafing thru a few month old copy of "Outside" mag. It was a short article on body mounted go pros dangers, pretty good, there are some after market mounts that do things like require drilling a 3 foot pole to a helmet. And listing injuries like it snaging on a tree as the biker rode past. Almost broke his neck. Also listed a BASE fatality from MOAB bridge, bridle snaging on a foot long go pro chest extension. They quoted info gleaned from DROPZONE.COM and a few people by name listing both. So we should beware of what we say. Just a reminder that what we say here goes directly to the plaintiffs lawyer.

One time years ago when his wife got out of bed to go to the bathroom, my brother sat on her pillow and let out a huge one, then pretended to be asleep. Took her a second after laying back down but then all hell broke loose. Still married, go figure.
