Hello there, I'm flying in for the FFC from the UK on the 30th July (evening) anyone heading to the FFC on the 31st or thereabouts ??? I could be persuaded to buy beer for anyone who was prepared to give me a lift ..... ;-)

Thanks for that .... So all I need is LOTS OF BEER then ??? Hmm ... I see a plan forming .... Beer For Lift .... Sounds like a winner to me !!! Now all I need is someone with a car and a thirst !!!! ;-) Anyone ??? Also any ideas where I can buy a tent ???

I'm coming too ... Just need to sort out a lift from O'hare to Rantoul ... Anyone going that way ??? Otherwise I'm going to have to rent me a car and try to drive it (again!!) in the US ;-) "Yes Officer I now realise which side of the road you drive on here .... " and "You mean that REALLY is the SPEED LIMIT ??"

So that's why everyone goes on about free-flying !!! ;-) ha ha

Oh dear !! I'm not sure if I'll fit in then ... My names James and I'm a NEWBIE and I'm BRITISH .... And no I don't know the words to Kumbaya, but I'm sure I can learn if someone will teach me ... Perhaps I'll go back to stamp collecting ...

I know what you mean,Empuria really kicks ... except when its too windy to jump .... And jumping just seems to get better and better ... but you might as well say "goodbye money" now ............. The weeks looking pretty good actually ... Off to Perris on Wednesday ;-) More sun for me too ;-) Goodbye crap english weather !!!! whoo hoo !!!

I think the fatality page would be an excellent idea ... As a relatively inexperienced jumper it would provide invaluable information ... To err is human, but to learn from our mistakes would be sensible !!! What does everyone else think ????

If you can still get to the DZ with the car in the shape its in then buy the rig .... You can't jump without one !!! As for the ladies ... I hope you don't have to use your car to get one (because if that's all she's after then she's NOT WORTH IT !!) As for being confused, always about all things except jumping ... ha ha ;-)

I have spent over $10000 in just over 2 months learning to jump in florida !!! Any ideas where there's an easy bank to rob ??? Or does anyone know a rich woman who wants to sponsor me ??? Ha ha ???

What's money ??? ....since I've started skydiving I haven't really seen money .....Just credit card slips and letters from the bank !!! ;-)

The beer buying tradition .... I just passed aff a couple of months ago and the tradition is ... Never admit to it being a first for anything unless you intend to buy everyone a beer ... budget on forgetting a few times !!!! ;-) Also budget on buying a fair amount and then whatever you don't drink (?????) you'll spend on jumping .... I've spent almost everything I've got in ther last few months, but it's been worth every cent !!!! Blue skies James

We're planning a trip to the US to go jumping for as long as possible ;-) Which will probably be 6 months judging by the visa situation .... We will be arriving end of October / beginning of November ... can anyone suggest some good DZ's to visit between November and May ... we would like to do a 'copter jump or balloon jump (or both)... but we'll be on a tight(ish) budget Blue skies James
