How long do you want me to prove it to you? A week? Forever? Surprise me.

Quade's in a low pull contest with me. The problem is, he's competing with a guy experiencing a malfunction. How will Quade survive? Reserve won't help if he's too low.

377 guessed "He fought in the Pacific in WW2" I think Petey was enlisted during WW2, but hostilities ended before anyone shot at him. I'm not sure what you meant by "fought"...I guess any military service can be just as rough as another...just wanted to clarify that we don't really know..it's easy to paint one's own beliefs on to something. I think he said he visited China as part of his military duty. He must have been pretty young at that time. That would be interesting to hear about. (edit) maybe I'm misremembering. Can't imagine why US military grunt would be in China post WWII?

377 said "but I fear what else he would do using my screen name. " I am not 377. No one could maintain 5 different internet personalities simultaneously. Not possible.

I had thought I noticed that the google ads on the left, responded to the text on the page..i.e. if we talked about something, the ads tended to migrate to that topic (at least I thought so) I just switched to using the Google Chrome browser, and I'm noticing the ads switch to a topic I was recently searching on, or maybe browsing to. (not DBC related)...creepy. I guess I've not been paying attention to how this targeted ad stuff works. It's like having something follow you around. (right now, the ad on the left and top for me, is for "AeroMarine Cycloaliphatic Epoxy"). The bottom ad is for "Rust Converter. Kills Rust dead"

Hi Quade. You've not been here in a long time. I've been claiming it's not possible to ban me. So your post kinda doesn't mean anything. Can you prove differently?

The number of US soldiers that jumped in vietnam was pretty small I thought. I don't remember hearing that Jerry jumped in vietnam. Did he? That would be a good story to hear if so. (edit) oh I guess Orange1 didn't say "jump in nam" she said "considering he was jumping and in nam at the relevant time?" You're saying Jerry had done some jumps before he went to vietnam? Wouldn't a lot of guys? How would that connect him to Pete? I can't see the connection you're suggesting.

Sheridan, Eagle Eye Winsor the Mud Hut Albert Schweitzer and Cooper wannabe is genuinely sick ... very sick .... very very very ill .... in pain ... no energy ... and fill in the blanks for yourself. Bring the old man back here to please yourself! What is there about "abject misery" you Humanitarians dont understand? Please yourself. Go to a bar. (edit)) I have an idea. Get him back in a different thread. No Cooper questions. Talk skydiving only. Make him feel at home. That would be the appropriate place and thing ... ? This Cooper thread is nothing but trouble. ??? Now you're back to being Mr. Emo. Here's a clue. People get to do whatever they want! Isn't that beautiful? Anything we say here has nothing to do with what people do or don't do. It's just writing. If you don't read it, it doesn't exist! (edit) Cooper Wannabe? I don't think we have any Cooper Wannabees? There are some dead guys that others are talking about a lot. I've talked about the possibility of Pete. Why call him a Cooper Wannabe in the same breath you're being Mr. Emo? Jerry's the only one who implied he was a wannabee. Actually, who knows what Jerry was saying. Be more clear, georger. If you try hard, you might be able to? Why is Pete a wannabe? What has he done to get that label? Guru312 has done more in the wannabee category than Pete, for example. (edit) I guess Pete's brother threw out the wannabee possibility. But based on what? I guess I just don't see what point people are trying to make.

georger reported experimental results: "The Jerk Snowmman however, I am told, has two faces, one when he's on stage here but another face in private - the two faces totally different?" Why stop at two? Hasn't that been done already?
-
Keep your hands at your sides, and don't try anything funny. This thread is all that management allows. If you try anything, there will be consequences. So put down that fork, and get back in line. (edit) There was a guy back in 2007, that tried to do something about DBC that was outside the DZ.com posting rules. Note you don't hear from him any more. Sad case.

georger asked "dont know what Snowmman's "stage act" is all about. Maybe Snowmman is another Sheridan? How in hell would I know? Who the fuck are you?" I thought I was transparent. God. The Messiah. The Pope. We're coming up on page 666, it's no time to be having doubts about the prophecy. Anyone can say they knew the prophecy was true after the fact. It's only true believers who will be rewarded in the everlasting, for their faith in the "first post on 666 will be 377" prophecy.

Darth Vader: I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now *I* am the master. Obi-Wan: Only a master of evil, Darth.

I think maybe Jerry and Jo have something going on the side? Jo knows everyone. Jerry knows Jo. Jerry knows Himmelsbach. Jerry sleeps in the woods. It all makes sense. Carr should know Himmelsbach but doesn't. Himmelsbach knows everyone but charges to acknowledge it. Cousin Brucie is trying to get to know everyone, but no one wants to know Cousin Brucie. Noelle is trying to find my phone number, but is frustrated. Petey is trying to decide who might be more bizarre. Him or us.

What, you feel jilted? Take the ball and go home? What happened to the hard core military guy? You sound more like lame-o. This is why all whuffos think skydivers are lame. especially military skydivers. When the going gets tough, they cry and go home. (edit) Let me review all contributions Jerry Thomas has made to the thread...there I'm done. (edit) What makes you think my friend is newly found?

Hell yeah... thats the best part about being to buy things bigger rather than having to grow them okay if the women here are going to start bragging about breast augmentation, I'm going to just ......uh....keep reading.

Sure doesn't. I keep wondering how the FBI worked on Norjack. What on Earth caused them to interview Sheridan in 2003??? And why did they quit as soon as his DNA sample didnt match the "Cooper" ones they had? How could they be so sure they really had Cooper's DNA? 377 The only thing that would make sense, is to acknowledge that I am God, the Messiah, the Pope. I run the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, and presidential elections. Who do you want to win in 2012? bidding will start soon. (edit) oops. I forgot the marketing guys say we have to say 'voting".

hey, that's almost a good Amazon story. But I suspect the real story is that the first 1GB one didn't work, and you went back and gave the sales guy some personal counseling, and he gave you the 128GB version for free?

377 said "I'd prefer a signed copy. Can that be arranged? " Remember when I said it's all about predicting the future. People wonder how anyone can get the only copy of a book? right? Doesn't make sense in today's world. Makes no sense that the FBI called on Pete in 2003. Makes no sense that snowmman is the only person in the world with a copy of his book. It all makes no sense. Perfect for the DBC thread! Like the Voynich Manuscript. Back in the 15th century or whenever it was written, how do you get the only copy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript Was snowmman involved in the Voynich Manuscript?

in his book, Pete talks about jumpmastering for a Dakota load with the Saigon Sport Parachute club. He also talks about a hula-hoop jump, right there at their DZ outside of Tan Son Nhut. If he knows about someone doing hula-hoop passes in the middle of the Vietnam War, well, that will count for a good crazy skydiving story.. It's one of those weird questions I have about his book. I suspect he may have taken a little literary license and mixed some events up. The hula hoop stuff may be from WA, or ??. He actually describes the technique. Evidently it's key not to stall out and get stuck in the hoop. (edit) I'm focusing on the trivial stuff I guess, outside of the stronger themes. But they give the book a Catch-22 like feeling, IMHO.

Come on Jerry, what is your connection to Sheridan Peterson? Pete, come back and tell me where I can buy a copy of your book. I'd prefer a signed copy. Can that be arranged? And Pete, did you know that a 727 could be jumped before Cooper did it? Thom Lyons jumped with you waaay back when. Do you remember him? He did sport jumps in Viet Nam too. 377 Yeah I was totally confused because Jerry typically doesn't "joke". So he's either lying or ??? I don't think Pete was in the USA in 1995. Maybe Pete can clarify this, since Jerry doesn't seem to want to...basically post and dash it looks like.

Jo reported on saving all conspiracy knowledge "plus on CD backup" Get modern, Jo. You want a USB flash drive. just click and drag and you can store 8 GB for just $15. Way faster than burning media. Plus it's better for smuggling thru the TSA checkpoints. Nowadays, I think there are cases where the TSA is claiming it's okay for them to copy any digital media (laptops etc) that they get access to. Or you can get the same thing, with built in encryption. so when the TSA finds it, at least they have to torture you for a while before you give up the password. http://www.google.com/search?q=cms+vault+secure+encrypted+flash+drive&rls=com.microsoft:*&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1 Any guerilla movement is only as strong as the individual cell members. Encrypted data, flash drives stored in body orifices etc. need to become standard practice here. Pete would tell us. Patriot Act 1 & 2. (edit) oh yeah, and dogs. You need dogs to be able to sniff out the new Terminator units. They're very human-like. (edit) I like that even Walmart is selling the encrypted flash drives. http://www.walmart.com/ip/CMS-Products-VAULTOTG-1GB-Vault-OTG-Secure-Encrypted-USB-2.0-Flash-Drive/13073279?sourceid=44444444440088858807 There's a lot of conspiracies out there to be saved!

Jo reported on behalf of the FBI "the information I shared with CARR by email probably never got into the FBI system" Well that would explain why when I hacked into the FBI system nothing was there, except for a lot of private porn folders, and some pictures of Noelle at a christmas party. hmm. I mean she was investigating skydivers. You know if you tell her you're a jumper, it's gotta count for something. I don't know about the gun thing though (SA). Might lead to a bad ending, especially with the husband.

This is the pic I thought everyone would have seen (attached) (also we went thru the vietnam halo, and what they did for illumination. they tried using some glow in the dark paint-on stuff, and i think they had a battery light if i remember?..no flares..I think galen's cook's ideas are BS in the flare arena) from http://www.parachutehistory.com/skydive/records/night/16night.html Events in the article take place in 1972. "The Elsinore Flying Farkle team of the early 70's was a closely-knit group that pushed the envelope of RW." "Fielding established two rules to enhance the success of night dives. 1) Flashing strobes were forbidden. 2) Large formation attempts should be done as close to a full moon as possible." "Most of the jumpers on the load had 600 to 700 jumps. They never funneled any of the attempts, but they were concerned about what to do in case they did. Should they reform, stay in the general area or pull immediately? Everyone was concerned about collisions." "The next record was a 12-way night star. The formation aircraft were a Beech and a Cessna 180. It built smoothly and rapidly. Jenkins had a flash synchronized with his camera. Each time he took a photograph, the formation lit up. Bud Krueger fired a 20-second flare when the star was complete. The group broke off at 4000 feet." "A few more lessons were learned on this successful 12-way night star. Black or dark jumpsuits did not photograph well at night and were hard for others to see. A new rule of having a jumpsuit at least 50% white was added. The photos were amazing to everyone. Jumpers came in from the jet-black sky to dock. There was a ball of fire in Bud Krueger's hand after lighting the flare." the web page goes onto to detail the progress to 16-way night star. picture there. no flare in that pic?

If you drop a flare and it hits the ground, it will start a fire. I thought military illuminating flares, that illuminate a night battle, were attached to parachutes so they'd have slow descent and light the ground for a while. Plus they're big, right? Why would you have a hand-thrown flare illuminating the sky? People say "illuminate the DZ" but I can't imagine that working.. (edit) from http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/luu2.htm LUU-2 Flare Air-deployed LUU-2 high-intensity illumination flare are used to illuminate targets. The LUU-2B Flare has a light output rating of 1.8 x 10(6) candlepower and at 1,000 feet altitude illuminates a circle on the ground of 500 meters at 5 lux. The LUU-2 is housed in a pod or canister and is deployed by ejection. The mechanism has a timer on it that deploys the parachute and ignites the flare candle. The flare candle burns magnesium which burns at high temperature emitting an intense bright white light. The consumption of the aluminum cylinder that contains the flare "candle" may add some orange to the light. The LUU-2 flare enhances a pilot's ability to see targets while using Night Vision Goggles. With the introduction of A-10 Warthog Night Vision capability, such flares are not used as frequently as in the past as they provide too much light for the very sensitive goggles. Flares burn at uneven rates and therefore fluctuate in brightness. The LUU-2 has a burn time of approximately 5 minutes while suspended from a parachute. The pyrotechnic candle consumes the flare housing, reducing flare weight which in turn slows the rate of fall during the last 2 minutes of burn time. At candle burnout an explosive bolt is fired, releasing one parachute support cable which causes the parachute to collapse. While unburned flares falling from high altitude could be dangerous, burned flares are much less dangerous since they are designed to burn up during the fall (even the aluminum casing is burned). The LUU-2B/B flare is the latest in a series of illuminating flares introduced by Thiokol for nighttime target illumination and rescue missions. Designated as a multi service flare by United States military forces, the LUU-2B/B incorporates improvements and modifications that further enhance its performance and reliability. The LUU-2B/B has been selected by over 30 foreign countries for aircraft-deployed illumination.

Well, one of the core things with this Cooper thing, is everyone likes to think they have secret information. (including the FBI) The main secret is that the FBI investigation was no where near as exhaustive as they claim. The details of the whole Pete saga prove it. Also way back early in the thread, I was trying to say that this notion of "everyone knew everyone" back then, and small community etc, was BS. Or that the FBI investigated everyone worthwhile. I would really like to find any jumper that knew/remembers Pete, just to test that theory of "everyone knows everyone". That one jumper who has Pete's name in his jump log, couldn't remember Pete. (they had significant age differences at the time) As far as I can tell, the first time the FBI talked to Pete was 2002-2003. So they were investigating a jumper just 7 years ago. And even though he seems reasonable to be in a pool of 1400 possibles, the investigation seems to have been incredibly light..i.e. "do you match DNA?" if not...we move on. I think, as we've always said, that there's not enough stuff to ever prove anyone was Cooper. But we can prove that there's been a lot of BS. Note the BS continues, with Tom Kaye etc. It's like the FBI doesn't have a modus operandi for interacting with the public, that doesn't involve BS.
