  1. Probably never. I have personally witnessed two different UPT rigs with magnetic riser covers have the toggles come out in a head down position. It's probably worthy to mention I've never seen it happen otherwise however in my limited experience this could just be a fluke. One rig it happened 3 times within a few months of being new and required a cut away two times. He sent the rig back for "repairs" and is now testing. So far so good. The other rig is now being used for RW only. He too had to cut away the wrapped up toggle. The owner will not free fly with it. He happens to be the UPT dealer and DZO. I have an Infinity that has not come open yet and neither has my VooDoo. I'm in the camp of "if it's not broken don't fix it".
  2. Going back to the OP that's exactly how I observed the friend in question that was reamed by the S&TA. Not a single gear check but many many camera checks. Several of us were watching. Not too long ago (month or so)at the same dropzone a newbie was observed walking to the plane with camera helmet in hand but no rig......... I don't get it and of course, it's unspoken, but I am now seen as a camera nazi and no doubt a full blown dickhead...LOL I'm the dickhead too that won't let you "fly headdown" with 150 jumps on my load either. If you insist then I'll just scratch off the load.
  3. 500 Way!?.....are ya'll fucking nuts or what?
  4. The Bonehead mount I have is not angled like the new ones are and it works great.
  5. LOL... I'm basing my opinion too on the feeling I get from the OP. She says looking cool is priority and I can't see looking cool in a $200 jumpsuit... A $700 LiquidSky suit is VERY cool.
  6. Get a LiquidSky jump suit and let Julio design it. You will have no regrets. I think spending $200 on a jumpsuit is a waste. It sound like you won't wear something cheap and not cute so why bother? Go ahead and spend the extra bucks and get something you are going to wear. As far as RW or FF you will have to determine that yourself however freeflying in an RW suit with booties won't work. Flying RW in a FF suit is just fine. If you really get into both you will want a specific suit anyway so at this point I would personally recommend a FF suit.
  7. Here's another link for you guys to read too: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3894693;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread
  8. All you have to do is talk to Paul (DZO of SSM) since he sets the rules where you are jumping. Also when a substantially more experienced jumper says you should have your RSL disconnected you should check into it before ignoring the advice. 'nuf said
  9. Forget about contacting them. You just have to wait for it to show up. I ordered 2 jumpsuits from them in the past and this seems to be their SOP. You will like it when you get it. They are pretty much a Liquid Sky copy these days.
  10. I think I saw something on EBay today for around $1250 in the skydiving section. Not sure what it was but probably worth checking out.

The whole concept is fucking awesome....
  12. Ur the best Ray....tee hee hee....Now you and your bride get your asses back to SSM....
  13. Shiner Black please, when you come back to SSM...lol
  14. I can't believe a company like UPT would put out literature with words spelled incorrectly. LOL
  15. Changing out the pilot chute/d bag takes less than a minute or so. There's really no reason to have a back up. Toggles are part of the risers. If you buy new risers it will come with new toggles.
  16. Jumpsuit with more drag and lots of practice flying "big". My girlfriend is 100 pounds lighter and we are matching our fall rates. Make sure her jumpsuit is tight and slick with as little drag as possible.
  17. Calling bullshit is just as bad as what you say he is doing. Just ask for the facts and leave your opinions out of it. That is after all what you are asking for yourself.
  18. +1 It's not only going to slip off schedule, it's going to slip away. It's not going to happen IMHO. The only way I see it happening is if some rich guy builds himself a toy and the Henry family doesn't operate that way.
  19. Aside from coaching you should probably get a video like Tambor's headdown video or something like that and really watch what movements are necessary. Doing something only with your head really isn't all there is to it. You have to consider your legs, hips, shoulders etc. Good luck.
  20. You're going to see an ESPN clip from the program E:60. By noticing his post subject I'm pretty sure it's going to be his girlfriend Roberta, "the sexiest woman in sports"...... clicky: http://vimeo.com/16655745
  21. We recently had a discussion on this just because of the newbies coming in and trying to go from A license to head down free flying. I suggest you get in some more belly jumps and learn to feel the air and know what's really going on around you. Then read this: http://www.freeflyeuphoria.co.uk/coaching/tips.html
  22. I've used the Mini Force risers with the Infinity in the past. I talked to Kelly at Velocity about this and he said there would be no issue as far as the rig goes. In fact at the time he told me that's exactly what he was jumping on his own rig.

  24. To issue a 1099 you first need to acquire a W9 from that entity.......good luck with that as most companies are pretty tight with their info. Sounds like a huge cluster fuck to me that hopefully is going to be repealed now that we've got rid of some of the idiots that voted for it.
