Gokey went out in pure class. This is my educated guess as to who will win. Barring a major screw up it will be Kris for 2 reasons: 1st being that Kris and Adam were only a million votes apart out of 88 million votes cast. 2nd is that I believe Kris will pick up more Gokey fans than Adam. Everyone I have talked with about AI says the same thing: "I'm not a fan of Adam. I prefer so and so, but I'm sure Adam will win." I'm beginning to wonder if Adam will actually win. We don't know. He may not be pulling in the top votes. Whatever way it turns out, it's Kris Allen's CD that I will be buying. Here's my synopsis. Music tastes are subjective so this is only my opinion. Once again AI gives Adam the pimp spot and the special lighting. Also gives him very positive critiques that were not necessarily deserved. Round 1: Judges choice Daney Gokey: Paula picks some song from Terence Trent D'Arbey that contains 2 or 3 notes tops. Danny does the best he can with that shitty song. Judges views are mixed. Kris Allen: Randy and Kara choose 'Apologize' by New Republic. Very good performance IMO. Yes, he could have been a little more creative, but he still does it justice. Judges critique is mixed. I'm still trying to figure out the 'bum note' Paula claims he hit. Hey Paula, clean the wax out of your years because he was spot on every note. There wasn't even a pitchy note. Adam: Simon chooses 'One' by U2. This is probably one of my favorite rock ballads of all time. Adam starts off brilliantly and then changes to his trademark screamfest. If I had a gun I would have shot my TV. IMO, he destroyed a classic song but as the annointed one, the judges all (with the exception of Randy) praise him. My opinion, round 1 belonged to Kris. Round 2: Contestant choice. This round proved that the contestants know their vocal abilities better than the judges. All 3 were much improved over Round 1. Danny Gokey: Absolutely brilliant performance of 'You Are So Beautiful'. Great reviews from all the judges and they were deserved. Kris Allen: An even more brilliant performance of 'Heartless' by Kanye West. That's right, 'Heartless'! Kris puts his creative genius into action, breaks out his acoustic guitar and does not do a rap version. Excellent reviews from all the judges. Adam: Does an excellent job of an Aerosmith song (the title escapes me at the moment). Judges love him even more. IMO, his performance was not as good as Danny's and Kris'. Ofcourse Simon has to end his critique with a subtle 'pimp Adam' instruction to the viewing public on how to vote. My opinion, Round 2 once again belonged to Kris. So what do you guys think? Also, if you know which note was the bum note in Kris' 1st performance...please let me know. _________________________________________ Chris

I admire and thank you for your service to our country. I also admire you facing your weaknesses head on and overcoming them. I sincerely applaud you. I am a member of Weight Watchers. I gained 80lbs after suffering a massive head injury. I also am dealing with PTSD. I finally got the courage up to face head on the weight issue. As I posted earlier, I have now lost the 80lbs and am a perfect weight for my body. I attended WW meetings for over a year. I witnessed personally obese people trying their damdest to lose the weight. It's easier for some folks. I've seen some in tears fighting like hell to overcome the discouragement. I've heard testimony from many who have to put up with cruel insults about their weight. Losing weight is not an easy thing for some people. Maybe it's in their genetics, I don't know. They deserve our respect and applause, not more negativity. They know better than you and I how unhealthy obesity is. Tonight was rock night. Alright, not necessarily Kris' genre but with the exception of Adam, he held his own tonight. The only problem was once again the show pimped who they wanted to win. After Adam landed in the bottom two last week, they got nervous. Have no doubt, Adam does deserve to win but in my opinion Kris should be 2nd. A couple weeks ago, Simon gives an interview to TV Guide stating that only Adam can reach the superstar status of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Considering the money Adam will make 19 records and the fact that he was in the bottom 2, they needed to act fast. So what do they do? They sabotage Kris tonight. Knowing that rock is not Kris' forte necessarily, they have him first do a duet (I thought this was a solo contest) with Danny right after both Adam and Allison have done their solo performances (the performances we're supposed to vote on.) Then before Adam and Allison's duet (they've already rested from their solos), they give Kris a quick commercial break in which he changed his clothes and had to immediately come out and do his solo (the performance he's to be judged on). This is followed by Danny's solo. Then they close the show with Adam and Allison's duet. Nice long rest for both Adam and Allison. Both Danny and Kris are the biggest threat to Adam so tonight they each get lousy reviews from the judges. Danny's was a bit more deserved than Kris'. When folks here claimed that AI was somewhat fixed, I never believed it until tonight. Take care Kris. I hope you have a successful career.
